"The Exchange" is the story of Aneer, a half alien, half human hybrid. He is a 6ooo year old mercenary who wants to return to his home planet in a different star system. For this he needs to travel through an inter-dimensional portal that can be created by a Tesla-style free energy device that utilizes radiant energy. Aneer is given this chance when his commanding officer asks him to deliver blueprints for an energy device to a government officer, Gordon. When Aneer meets Gordon's sister, Victoria, he starts to fall in love with her, as she teaches him the freedom that comes with being human.
