Doves: There Goes the Fear

An important classic song from 20 years ago, "There Goes the Fear" by Doves never fails to impress me with its reflections and some positivity. Yet I got familiar to it thanks to this amazing artistic music video of a middle-aged man having a strange nervous breakdown of sorts, leaving his wife alone in the supermarket and rushing through the streets while having visions of a beautiful girl and also having childhood dreams. And all of those moments are presented through carefully edited sequences with a heavy and interesting use of visual effects that create the effect of seeing visions and real images that compose an artful element of seeing life as a curious dream of limited yellowish colors.

The directors had a vivid and original imagination with such composition and some of their video for "Oasis: The Shock of the Lightning", which is also an amazing work of art.

And this one here has a spectacular by the main of which I'd like to know who he is and I can't find any information on him. He has a very peculiar face, a quite villanisque and tense expression yet he's our hero in this work. I always like to revisit this classic, time and again. Nostalgic memories come to mind back when I was starting to pay attention to music video and appreciate their art and cinematic qualities. This one has plenty of those. 10/10

P. S.: but travelling through Rio de Janeiro on a flying train was really something.
