    Surprisingly tasteless

When I went in to see the film I had an expectation that it was an animated film made for adults. But when I sat in the cinema surrounded by preteens and children I found the film incredibly tasteless, both in terms of language and not least the visual aspects. I don't think a single opportunity has been missed to use all kinds of slang and metaphors to describe all sexual and biological sexual drives. Many sexual positions, pornographic references are both shown and told and where you can see these if you have any doubts.

In my opinion this is NOT a children's film.

That said, it is not a film for adults either. There is not enough real plot in the film and the language is not intellectual enough to create real humour.

I feel this film is a forced attempt to be humorous. Nothing else. So if you really want to see it, please don't waste your money on a movie ticket and support more of this kind of misery. Of course, this is just my opinion.

    Spermageddon: He shouldn't have came.

I had the regrettable experience of watching "Spermageddon," and I have to admit that it was a film that left me more confused than amused. Although it was intended to be satirical, it ended up being too ridiculous, leaving viewers perplexed and angry instead of entertained.

The film's premise initially appeared to offer some intriguing insights into current concerns about masculinity, reproductive difficulties, and social expectations. But what actually happened was a fragmented story that made an effort to address these issues but ultimately failed miserably. Without a unifying theme, the plot jumps around from absurd scenario to absurd scenario. It seemed as though the authors just threw a number of concepts against the wall in the hopes that something would stick, but sadly, nothing did.

Character development is yet another area in which "Spermageddon" falls far short. The characters are painfully exaggerated to the point where it is difficult to take them seriously, making them little more than caricatures. It seems like our protagonist, who I assume is meant to be relatable, is obnoxious and overly self-indulgent. It is intended that his journey would represent a fight against fertility-related social pressures, but it instead descends into strange antics that make it impossible to sympathise with him. Similar to main characters, supporting characters are flat and only act as accessories in a plot that is shallow and undeveloped.

I think the humour was supposed to be the film's redeeming feature, but it is mainly juvenile and heavily relies on shock value. The constant stream of offensive jokes and slapstick moments felt forced and repetitive, even though I enjoy a good laugh. It seems as though the filmmakers thought that the audience would be entertained by the sheer ridiculousness of the material, but sadly, the punchlines were frequently unsuccessful. I found myself cringing rather than chuckling, wishing for deeper wit or clever satire instead of the mindless antics presented.

Visually, "Spermageddon" doesn't fare much better. The cinematography seems like a big, awful lot of biohazard, lacking any artistic flair that could elevate its mediocre script. The production quality appears low-budget, which in itself isn't necessarily a detractor; however, combined with the poor writing, it results in an overall product that feels amateurish. The special effects, when used, come off as gimmicky, distracting from whatever narrative thread was intended and contributing further to the film's erratic tone.

One of the most disappointing elements is the film's attempt to address serious issues surrounding male fertility and societal expectations. Instead of offering insightful commentary or meaningful exploration of these topics, it trivialises them, reducing complex issues to mere plot devices for cheap laughs. This approach is not only insensitive but also reflects a lack of respect for the very real struggles that many individuals face today.

In conclusion, "Spermageddon" is a film that promises much but delivers very little. It squanders a potentially rich source of material on a mishmash of confused ideas and immature humor. The lack of coherent storytelling, shallow character development, and an overall failure to connect with its audience render it a disappointing venture. What could have been a thought-provoking exploration of important themes instead becomes an exercise in frustration. It's difficult to recommend this film to anyone unless they're looking for a painfully exaggerated comedy that misses the mark entirely. Save your time and money-there are far better films out there that actually manage to balance humor and substance.

    Suprisingly funny and good

I loves the storyline and all of those moment that made the crowd laugh. I don't get the reviews telling otherwise, you knew what you were in for in the first place. If you come in with a bad attitude towards these types of movies then you're not eligible to write a review that's negative in my opinion. This movie is for the open minded, and i LOVED it and laughed so much with my friends. Worth a watch, especially if you're hanging with the guys.

Concluded i for sure recommend this movie for someone who is looking for a good laugh and time with your friends. Voice acting and structure was really nice made as well.

It's too weird, and it's nothing special.

Yeah, to be honest, I didn't find this funny. It was way too weird, and at the same time, it was quite lame. I mean, it's true that we took health class in high school, but that doesn't make this movie any less weird. Just... the idea of an animated movie about sperm cells is just too weird, and I'm a fan of shows like Superjail!, Wonder Showzen, Drawn Together (the first two seasons), and King Star King.

I'll be honest, I like Sausage Party. It was a good movie, and a guilty pleasure. But this movie is way too much. It's just a generic comedy about teenagers having sex. It's just too much. A film that takes place inside of someone's private parts?? Like, come on. I will say that it does have a good message about teen pregnancy, but while it's not as bad as Skiff & AJ's Fantastic Voyage, it's still a mostly terrible and forgettable movie.

Not the worst film that I've seen, but way too much for my taste, even as a fan of shows like South Park. The film only has four original songs. Not to sound PC-minded, but this movie isn't worth it. That being said, while I know that Paramount Pictures had no involvement in this movie, this definitely would be the perfect movie for them, given how they just announced a movie literally titled "I Eat Poop", which was based on a children's book of the same name.

No disrespect to PFFR or any of the people I'll mention, but imagine if Paramount Pictures via Miramax hired PFFR to provide the English dub of the film, with the voice acting talents of Jeremy Shada, Raven Symoné, Christy Karacas, Alyson Levy, Matt Knudsen, Tom Kenny, even people like JJ Villard, JG Quintel, Ben Jones (creator of Problem Solverz), John DiMaggio, Eric Bauza, Grey DeLisle, Vernon Chatman, Will Arnett, and Seth Rogen.

When you really think about the book "I Eat Poop" as a movie by Paramount, and even the controversies Paramount had like with Nickelodeon and MTV, Spermageddon definitely fits the most with Paramount Pictures for a potential North American release.

Other than that, don't waste your time watching this movie.

    A Naughty little Norwegian film.

'Spermageddon' certainly is not your average animation film. I guess one could refer to it as the sex version of 'Inside Out', but it definitely is not for kids. It partly feels like an educational film and suppose it could be used for that purpose for late teens. Then again, as illustrated in the movie, teens nowadays find everything they need to know on the Internet - yes, and PornHub.

The film tells two stories, that of sperm cells living in Sperm City (located in Jens' sack - a nerdy boy who has just reached puberty). Here we follow sperm cell friends Simen and Cumilla (yeah, clever names) who is taught everything they need to know at the University of Fcking. While Simen is in no rush to be ejaculated, Cumilla can't wait, with the prospect of being the first to reach the egg.

Jens is going on a camping trip with his friends. Also at the camp, is Lisa, whom Jens fancies. On the first night, they decide to have sex, and this is where the adventure element begins - for these teens as well as for the sperm cells, who all race to achieve their ultimate goal.

The film even has musical segments and its own theme song. With pre-cum monks, E. Coli and a villainous sperm cell with a gadget or two, Jizzmo, among the guest characters, 'Spermageddon' is a highly inventive movie with clever (naughty) dialogue, and you might just view ejaculation in an entirely different matter after watching this movie!

The film's final act might give teenagers the idea that it is ok to have sex, as long as they use precaution, and if there is a slip and they get pregnant they can always fix it with a pill if they are not ready for parenthood. "If you're not ready, then you are not ready" almost sounds like an anthem during the finale. Apart from this final message, which I think might (unintentionally) leave the wrong impression, I kinda enjoyed this very different animated film. It certainly had its funny moments!
