Xiao Yi sets out on his first location to find the villain who took Thunder. He runs into an electric beetle named Rhino, and after defeating him in a long fight, he ends up becoming Yi's master.
Driving across the desert, our warriors arrive at a nearby concert of famous boy-band group, B.O.S. Bibi, a long time fan, spends way too many of the crew's crystals on band merchandise.
Bibi gets taken away by the bee generals for leaving her hive, and Yaya is taken the blame for it. The Incredible Ant team work together to save Bibi, but they find out she's been hiding a secret from them.
Rhino runs into his old friend in a nearby town selling local goods, and offers him to make a deal. The next day, a bunch of bugs want to start investing in bubble gum.
The warriors are trapped in an illusive dream world. Xiao Yi thinks he found his brother, Mantis is a Kung Fu teacher, Bibi is a diva pop star, and Rhino is relaxing. They have to break out of the spell in order to get back to reality.
Rhino sets out to find his real friends after he breaks out of the Moth Lady's illusion. Dealing with each dream one by one, they have to work together in order to defeat her.
After accidentally wasting their crystals, Rhino and Mantis meet a business man who offers them extra loans with bracelets. Meanwhile, Mantis and Xiao Yi go searching to find a clue Thunder left behind.
When the team arrives at a local market in Dragon Town, Mantis starts having flashbacks about his old life in the city and his students. The Scorpion Samurai finds out about this and seeks revenge on him for returning.
While on their trip around Neon City, the warriors have made some online buddies. Xiao Yi thinks one of them can help him track down King Toad and Thunder, but it seems too good to be true.
Mantis, disappointed by his flaws and his need to blend in with the world, meets a round ladybug that lives a village filled with cube-shaped ladybugs ran by the world-known scientist, The Vertex.
The warriors arrive at a boring, old village named Yawning Town and find the Spider Brothers there thinking they're up to no good again, until they find out they're reformed.
The heroes meet a simple old bug named Shellis who offers to take them to an old abandoned dojo to practice for the upcoming battle. The dojo is rumored to belong to a masked warrior.
The Masked Warrior shows up in his dojo to save the heroes. He reveals himself to be Thunder. He explains his backstory of how he got out and offers Xiao Yi to help him with building a gigantic purifier.
Xiao Yi stays with his brother Thunder and Dr. Huguenot into completing the Purple Goo Purifier that will save the world. However, he feels there's something suspicious with the doctor and his gigantic invention.
With Xiao Yi retiring from the team and staying with Thunder and Dr. Huguenot, the heroes struggle to decide on what to do next to battle King Toad. Later on, Bibi finds out the truth about the Doctor's purifier.
When the heroes arrive at the canyon at the Purple Volcano, they suggest that Xiao Yi invent something to get across it. But after being betrayed by Thunder, Xiao Yi is upset that his inventions are failing and only hurt other people.
The insect warriors arrive at a futuristic city that runs all it's energy on a giant phone battery. When the battery is close to running out, it's up to Xiao Yi to save everyone by conserving as much energy as possible.
The insect warriors are ready to prepare for the final battle against King Toad, with the assistance of Bonnie Spider. Xiao Yi and Rhino face the other spider brothers, while Mantis and Bibi face off against the Samurai.
