We take a deeper look at the system and answer the question of is the system broken or is it operating exactly as it was intended to? We start by examining the role Mass Incarceration plays in reducing the population of Black Men in America (4:56). We then analyze how Structural, Institutional, and Systemic Racism, also known as the system of structures that have procedures or processes that disadvantage racial minorities and particularly black people, fuels the School-to-Prison Pipeline (12:13). From there we examine the role the Education System has had on disenfranchising Black students (14:08). We lastly take a look at how the Foster Care System increases racial disproportionately and disparity in Black child welfare (27:55).
