Originally titled Good News but changed to the name Taurus (MGK's zodiac sign) after backlash from Mac Miller's family & fans after hitting too close to home. Good News was also the title of one of Mac Miller's last songs, which was posthumously released on January 9, 2020, as the lead single from the album. It peaked at number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Miller's highest-charting single as a lead artist.
The concert footage in the beginning was taken from a surprise Machine Gun Kelly show at Lollapalooza 2021.
The cover of Edwin Collins A Girl Like You performed by Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker that appears durring the strip club scene was originally recorded for the soundtrack to the Amazon Prime Original show Paradise City.
