I originally rated this show a 3 after watching one episode but watched a second episode and was drawn in.
It gathered momentum with each passing week, Mel and Tim relaxed into their roles and the weekly guest comedians were brilliantly funny.
I've never felt the need to rewrite a review but felt I had to here. Well done to all involved and I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

The content is sadly lacking any laughs EXCEPT for the visiting jesters, now that man and woman had some humour to add.

Very similar content to Have You Been Paying Attention.
Delivered in a news show format. The presenters don't take themselves too seriously and look like they are having fun with it all.
I enjoyed it. Some laconic Aussie humour with a little trans Tasman rivalry thrown in.
Funny television and a welcome relief from the daily doom.

Brilliant show. Hilarious hosts. Mel's a star. Tim's getting there. 10/10 will watch again.

I do t normally watch this type of show (HYBPA for example) but this just came on one night whilst I was too busy doing something to check what else was on, and I ended up having so many LOL's that it is now one of my FAVOURITE weekly shows.
Those 'numpties' giving it a 1 or 2, CLEARLY have no sense of humour.
If you do not laugh at this show, then you are already dead inside.
Go back to 'four corners' or 'coronation street' if you don't find this show hilarious.

Quick, witty, funny. Some reviewers who give it 1 etc are pieces of .... Guess. Following formats such as HYBPA and a hundred English versions. But it's generally Aussie and funnier. Nothing really like HYBPA , as it isn't a quiz format. Nor based on the original santo, sam and Ed podcast ( for those in the know. ) whenever you see a few 1 star reviews, automatically add 2 stars to the rating. Because some people are whining pieces of....
If they swapped the awful New Zealander with one of the many great Aussie comedians this show may have a chance. It feels so rehearsed. The jokes are obviously pre written and rehearsed so the banter does not flow.
Absolutely love this show. Chemistry between the two hosts is brilliant and rare on TV, feels like just natural pub banter between friends.
So so funny and I hope it sticks around!

This show constantly make terrible jokes out of every single cringeworthy news they can find and it's not even funny at all.
The audience laugh reactions are as cringey as it gets because again the jokes really are not funny.

I'd rather be held at gun point being forced to listen to Frank Walker from National Tiles than have to see this garbage constantly advertised evey 5 minutes.

I was raised to follow the tenet "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all." Therefore I will say nothing about this show.....
If you like Cringe Australian comedy - You're in for a treat. Two 'Comedians' host a show looking back at the weeks events - with a horrible 1980's laugh track. The comedy's on par with 'Full House' circa 1987. Will be popular with dads over the age of 60. Absolutely dreadful.

This show is horrendous. They need a laugh track for laughs #cringe Surely 10 can spend some money on some Real comedians. #cringe #awful Mel face is one of those faces you just can't stand. If the Cringe Seats was a horse you shoot it. God knows you can kick a field goal from the size of Mel mouth.
DO BETTER 10.
DO BETTER 10.

All presenters talk a million miles an hour so the production can place another swag of commercials to the program. They spend most of their time laughing at their own 'jokes'. Each segment tries to be controversial and interesting at the same time band achieves that but the delivery speed and lack of coherent speech spoils the program. Slow down guys its not a race!
I've given this show a good run of episodes hoping it would get better. Scripted, disingenuous laughter from both hosts as they know what jokes, (and I use the term jokes loosely) each will throw in next. Combine this with the need for a laugh track, which is incessant throughout every episode and you have one big utterly boring snoozefest. I'm quite disappointed if this is considered to as a next generation of a look at news of the week show.
Like all shows of it's ilk, the clips they throw in are generally humerous, but not enough to make a show and in are fact detracted from by the comments of the hosts.
I've laughed more watching Parliament Question Time (but haven't we all at some point).
Simply not entertaining.
Enough said..

It's literally a scripted, cheaper version of have you been paying attention. You know it's bad when then content is funnier then what the hosts have to add... how does this get airplay? (No offence). Also, the the canned laughter needs to be changed because they laugh after everything that isn't funny, so the entire show.

Channel 10 is really flogging a dead horse with this show. They have to advertise this unfunny show every 5 minutes so to try and suck in some viewers. Surely they could've found a comedian from Australia instead of the poor excuse of a comedian that Melanie Bracewell is.
I watched the show once and it's pure garbage. It's time to axe the show and put us all out of our misery. Channel 10 is already the worst free to air television channel and they're not doing themselves any favors keeping an unfunny show like this on air. Too many reality shows, and over advertising of these shows doesn't help either. ALSO, PLEASE PLEASE STOP THE ADS FOR THE CHEAP SEATS, YOU'RE KILLING ME.

I recently watched a program showing clips from Russel Brand shows where he just talks loudly and quickly while putting himself to the front of everything.
I then tuned in to find this show where there is constant noise, with two hosts yelling banalities with a seemingly endless laugh track forced over everything.
Obviously there is a market for such pathetic shows, but you really wouldn't want to be stuck on a cruise ship or even an elevator with those for whom this is fun.
Thankfully I watched it as a recorded items so I could skip forward o see if there were any better segments. None were on display.
Presumably it is something to only watch if drunk - very.
