The movie itself is ordinary, but I rate it 10 because all those anti China salty hypocrites reviews. If Hollywood can portray the West as the savior of colored people, altering real history and the guys are okay with it, then China also can made their own rambos. As simple as that.

Calling movies like this as government propaganda is ridiculous especially when the same guy said nothing about ALL Us produced movies and TV series. At least the Chinese didn't alter the criminal as the heroes like Hollywood did. So, enjoy and grind harder.

The movie is absolutely explosive! Just looking at the cast alone, Wang Yibo's performance is stunning-his good looks grab your attention at first, but the real charm lies in Yang Zhen's character arc. Wang Yibo fits the role so well that Yang Zhen comes across as both profound and warm. His outstanding acting brings this lovable peacekeeping hero to life in the hearts of the audience.

Beyond the performances, the movie is packed with visually and aurally striking large-scale scenes-armored vehicle explosions and collisions are next level, and the multi-layered crises during the final typhoon gunfight are utterly thrilling. But Peacekeeping Riot Squad is more than just action and adrenaline; its true highlight is how it authentically portrays the real experiences of peacekeeping police officers, giving us a deeper understanding of this group.

Formed Police Unit is a high-intensity action film that delves into the lives of Chinese peacekeeping police officers deployed overseas. Directed by Lee Tat Chiu and produced by Andrew Lau, the film offers a gripping portrayal of the challenges faced by these officers in conflict zones.

The story follows a team of Chinese peacekeeping police officers who are sent on a mission to a war-torn country at the request of the United Nations. Tasked with maintaining peace and order, they confront terrorist attacks, armed riots, and gang violence, all while adhering to strict rules of engagement that limit their use of force. The film emphasizes the moral dilemmas and sacrifices inherent in peacekeeping operations.

The performances are commendable, with Huang Jingyu portraying a dedicated and resilient team leader, Wang Yibo as a skilled sniper grappling with the harsh realities of war, and Zhong Chuxi as a compassionate liaison officer who bridges cultural divides. Their chemistry adds depth to the narrative, making the characters' struggles and triumphs resonate with the audience.

One of the film's standout features is its realistic depiction of peacekeeping missions. The production team meticulously recreated the mission area, ensuring authenticity in the settings and scenarios. The action sequences are intense and well-choreographed, showcasing the officers' tactical skills and the perilous situations they navigate.

While the film leans heavily on patriotic themes, it also highlights universal values such as courage, duty, and the quest for peace. It serves as a tribute to the unsung heroes who risk their lives to maintain stability in volatile regions.

I considered this movie with some reservations but it turned out more interesting than expected. It is easy to dismiss this as a ccp propaganda but what is the story telling us really? The story in facf wasn't untrue for what was happening in parts of Africa. Put aside politics, the young men and women did volunteer and sacrificed their lives via the UN mission. And theirs are actions that one shouldn't be so cavalier or derisive about. I liked that they had used actors from ethnic groups from that locatiom.

The story is simple and straight vanilla and certainly, I confess to enjoying the high octane scenes - releases, plus the YangZhen character is a cute one to watch.

So far this movie has been released in China and Thailand and I fervently hope it will stay that way.

The Chinese PR machine presents this production as UN approved and "based on true events". It was launched at May 1 in local theaters as a tribute to Chinese blue helmets who once rescued citizens from the clutches of some real nasty Africans as you can see on the film poster that looks like a apocalyptic zombie movie.

Of course this isn't the first time that the Chinese government presents us their own version of reality but really, this artist impression of the Chinese Savior Complex comes with a new low: they use blackface to infiltrate and fool the African people.

Apart from that who in his right mind can think that Africans would see a bunch of Asians with black face and dreadlocks as their own people?

In short, this movie is in a league of its own, meant for Chinese entertainment only. Don't see it.
