The Who: At Kilburn 1977 (2009)

Trivia

The Who: At Kilburn 1977

Edit
This DVD package contains two Who shows, firstly the 1977 Kilburn concert and a 1969 show at the London Coliseum.
The Kilburn show on Thursday, December 15th, 1977 was not to be the last performance of Keith Moon with The Who but his penultimate. The Kilburn show was being recorded for footage for the film The Kids Are Alright (1979), but the whole performance was deemed too shoddy. Keith last performance with The Who was to be played at Shepperton Studios on Thursday, May 25th, 1978.
The Shepperton Studio's concert was filmed due to the poor quality of the Kilburn show, and to keep its continuity for "The Kids Are Alright" the band members had to dress in the same outfits as previously worn in 1977, except Keith, who choose not too.
There were to be just three songs sung and filmed (25th May, 1978): "Baba O' Riley", "My Wife" and "Wont Get Fooled Again". After retake after retake, The Who played a whole set for patient crowed.
A two disc DVD with footage of The Who performing before a select audience on December 15, 1977 at Kilburn while disc two shows their rare show at the London Coliseum in 1969.
