Very slow show. They add unnecessary characters ,plots, dialogues, scenes to produce more episodes out of nothing. There is clearly a lack of a main plot.
This is awful. No one in this show does their job well. I seriously don't understand how this was allowed to air in the first place. Its so poorly made. I get that some people might enjoy watching it (that's a lie) but when they say it is a good show...?? Omg the script, the production, the acting- when do I begin?? If I could rate it as minus stars I could. This is a hateful review, I know, but im genuinely curious about how this show even exists. I know so many talented people who don't get the slightest appreciation they deserve.
This is show has a new episode like every day. How do they expect to made something good?

The only thing I can enjoy from this series is the setting, as I was actually raised in Mani. But the overall plot, characters and direction are not very good. There's so many unecessary scenes, dialogue and characters that are not even connected. It doesn't have a main story line - it's just things happening to ordinary people.
Most of the scenes don't even resemble Mani itself; the series shows us luxurious houses, huge oil factories, forests that don't even exist here in Mani - there's overall a very inaccurate representation of the place, despite the fact that some scenes were indeed shot in Mani. Most of the characters don't even talk or behave like they are from Mani. There's a middle-aged male character who likes practising shooting (with a tiny airgun that isn't even common in Mani) while two of his friends act like this is a big deal and that it's "dangerous", even though they are supposed to be from Mani. They are supposed to be used in seeing others using weapons. If the producers wanted a series that was very similar to Mani, could they at least try a bit? To make a long story short, the overall representation of the place is inaccurate.
In conclusion, don't waste your time with this uninspired, common series - there's dozens of them very similar. The fact that it's supposed to be a series shot in Mani doesn't change a lot. The dialogue is poorly-written, there's bad/mediocre acting, it's not realistic, it has unecessary scenes and characters, no specific plot and barely any resemblence to the actual Mani. If you are not from Mani (I bet most of you are not), you may not care about the setting, but just keep that in mind: this is NOT how Mani actually looks like.
I am not a big fan of television, but I am sure there's piles of other much more interesting programmes that you can watch instead of this one. For me, the only positive thing about this series is that one of my aunt's is an playing in it - I haven't seen her often in the series, but she's a pretty great actress as I've noticed.

I love that series, I enjoy watching all episodes. I like the actors and how they play, and the plot is very interesting. The music is superb too. Ok, sometimes it exaggerates a bit, but that doesn't destroy the general result..it keeps me interested to watch the next episode.
Very intriguing and interesting plot follows many famillies and personalities in a beautiful Mani. Beautiful photography, deep-blue sea, stone beaches, and a fields with olive trees. In this show you can see a life in a very traditional part of Greece, their customs, culture, heritage, love, hate, even an old-fashioned vendetta. Selected cast, intriguing plot, and magic scenery keep your full attention, and you are craving for more. Well done show.
