The First Myth: The Clash of Gods

If you do not look to lose at the special effects, they are ok. The story is quite flat, but filled with a lot of action scenes. I would say it was not a total waste of time, but having it seen once is absolutely enough.

I think this movie stole "Avengers: Age of Ultron" plot. Even though the background story is different, but the overall plot is very similar to it. Especially when the heroes were gathering back to back, it awfully similar to the Avengers circle formation. Plus there's only one woman who's the only ordinary human amongst all of the male gods. But I don't even think that that's the biggest failure of this movie. They didn't explain anything at the beginning of the movie. Nothing about the main characters nor the villains. So for those who aren't familiar with Chinese myths, they can only gawk at the whole scenes unfolding before them. It would've really helped a lot if they explained each and every one of the characters background story. Although seeing how there's too many characters to begin with, probably this is the best outcome. For you who like action adventure fantasy movies, I guess you can marvel at the CGI. Although it wasn't very good, it's not too shabby. But overall, I don't recommend watching this movie. If you have any other movies lined up, just watch them instead.
