While an extremely short story/adventure, 'Rick and Morty: Samurai and Shogun' explores a pretty interesting new style for Rick and Morty, albeit one that doesn't look quite as good as the normal show. (But to be fair, it is a five minute short) The idea of a Samurai Rick is just really cool, and while the story is pretty barebones, the fight scenes are epic. (The story definitely picks up in its second part) There really isn't much more to say about the episode itself, due to its very small runtime, but it is interesting that this (basically filler) episode only designed to fill the gap between episodes eventually turned into an entire (poorly received) series, that being 'Rick and Morty THE ANIME'. In conclusion, it's definitely worth a watch for a short burst of entertainment.
