Nice piece of work showing how the mind of ex-services persons can lead down a rabbit hole so to speak
Some of the conflict scenes very well shot and not a lot of this just run at the enemy nonsense you get from hollywood you can tell the team are ex services and have experienced combat.
Considering the budget and early stages of the teams career a very well put together film.
Some of the plot and supporting acting is a bit patchy but at least a 6 out of 10 but given a 7 as indy
Hoping the film does well, definitely worth a watch
Looking forward to the next works and future films with Tip.

The film is really not bad at all! I went into expecting to want to turn off after reading some of the reviews! Ridiculous. What these guys have done is nothing short of fantastic. Its a debut feature, with a solid story and believable characters with fun and organic action. Yes things could be better. But I have watched multimillion pound films that lack even the most basic of intrigued... these industry giants chuck everything at these films with no integrity and truth and yet the Sunray team have had to fight against all the nepotisms, exclusivity and exteme cost to produce something they so rightly should be proud of. Sunray is definitely worth a watch. Excited for the future!
This is a mix of US movies.
Ex SAS with PTSD, has nothing to live for, until his daughter overdoses smoking heroin.
Then, he has a reason to get up and do what he's trained to do.
After all, these hardened warriors feel more comfortable with a gun, and somebody to shoot at.
This is just a derivative of John Wick and a few other movies.
Get the team back together.
Take care of business.
Get hardware!
Use saud hardware to go to town... in the UK.
Taken was the other movie, but 1 man took on a gang, empty handed!
I do prefer "getting the team back together!" It makes half decent viewing, but it feels so derived! It feels like we've already seen this exact movie, countless times!
So don't get too excited at the idea of this movie. Because it's somebody else's! It's just a mish-mash of John Wick and Taken. Only with a team of 4.
Small, unimpressive "twist" at the end to make it slightly different?
No... it's the same. John Wick is full of bullets in all of those movies.
Sorry. British rip off of American movies.
And I hate to break the 4th wall, but this is England! If a bunch of people had been executed, shot in the head! It'd be front page news. There'd be police everywhere.
Especially if there had been a Paslode first fix nail gun incident, that would also be front page news.
But, suspension of blah blah blah...
Whatever.
Watch it, you'll probably think the same thing.

Went into this film expecting a degree of low budget film-isms, and finished it very impressed with how the film as a whole turned out. Great cinematography, very authentic feeling military persons interactions (unlike most high budget films), well portrayed characters (as far as I'm aware some of the actors are quite fresh in the acting world), and a very strong sound track, all put together, directed and edited very well.
The film does lack a little in some of the effects departments (due to what I assume is a very small budget), but makes up for it with the camera work.
In the end the story was great and enjoyably unpredictable.

I really pushed myself to finish this film as I am a huge supporter of indie film productions. The entirety of the film was dragging and the acting/casting was decent enough. Costume design was kind of off but I didn't really expect much from that department. Story was okay, not stellar but not bad at all. From a cinematography standpoint: the lighting was not impressive (I understand; indie studios are on a budget as always) but that's to be expected. Furthermore, The girl's boyfriend's story somehow lacked in depth though. I wish that there was something more to what he was portraying. Overall, great job and well done with this work. I'd like to see more from this studio.
