Three women, Usui, Saotome and Kuramoto work in a natto factory in town. One day, Usui notices that the people in town have started to possess a creepy monster-like doll. It was rumored that the doll would grant its owner's wish. Unlike everyone else, Usui had no wish to grant. Eventually, Kuramoto and Saotome learn about the doll as well and together, the three women bond to get hold of the doll... By that time, the dolls have become popular and a scarcity, making it difficult to get. Not able to give up, the three participate in a death-match event run by Clay Artist Yocchan, the creator of the doll, where participants compete for the doll. As the whistle blows, Saotome and Kuramoto, along with other participants run at full speed to compete fiercely over the doll. A single participant, Usui, remains unmoving as she watches the other competitors sink into greed. Regardless of the struggle, Saotome and Kuramoto fail to get hold of the doll. Usui finds a damaged doll by her feet. The following week, the three head to a mansion where a wealthy girl lives, who is rumored to grant her visitors the prized doll for free. The girl demands the three to perform any talent or skill they have in return for the doll. Saotome and Kuramoto struggle clumsily with their performance. When Usui's turn arrives, she insists she has no skills. The girl demands that she blow a whistle, but no sound comes out when Usui attempts to. With a mocking laugh, the girl grants them only two dolls. Not eager to possess the doll, Usui spares the doll to Saotome and Kuramoto. Usui, having no desire or dream like the other two, comes to realize the emptiness in herself and feels depressed. One day, Usui receives an email from Kuramoto who quit her job to grant her wish. She finds a message stating that it is not a bad idea to take time to figure out what you truly want. Usui feels a little eased reading the message. That night, while walking in town, Usui attempts to whistle. Suddenly, a whistling sound comes out. Such a trivial thing, but Usui feels she may have found what she wants to do.
