Vince Vaughn and Crystal the Monkey in Bad Monkey (2024)

Trivia

Bad Monkey

Edit
Although the show seems to portray Miami and Key West as nearby since they are constantly going back and forth, the two cities are approximately a 3.5 hour drive apart with no traffic.
The show's soundtrack features an extensive amount of songs written by Tom Petty in the form of covers from famous musicians such as Eddie Vedder, Fitz and the Tantrums, Sharon Van Etten, Weezer, Stephen Marley, and more. Even Bill Lawrence's daughter, singer Charlotte Lawrence, is featured singing a cover of Petty's song "Wildflowers." Bill Lawrence also created the Florida-based show "Cougar Town" which featured a different Petty song as the title of each episode.
Yancy's cell phone ringtone is "La grange" by ZZ Top
Despite the fact that filming of the series was almost exclusively on location in Miami and the Florida Keys, in S01E07 'A Total Cat Person' when they visit the 'Troconis Medical Center Miami' [at the 13m47s mark] the external shot is inexplicably the main [Park Road] entrance to Auckland City Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.
Based on the novel of the same name from Carl Hiassen.
