In 9 Lives of Christmas, Sam couldn't adopt Ambrose because Harriet was allergic to cats. In this movie, they adopt two cats.
When Marilee and Zachary first run into each other, the position of the bell on Zachary's cap changes position, it draped above his forehead when he is shot from the front, and draped over left side when shot from the left side, until Marilee "fixes" the position for him to move it to the left side.
When Marilee is helping her sister decorate the tree and gets a text from Zach, she picks her phone up to look at it and the phone is upside down at first, fixed when you see it again and upside down again right before she leaves the scene.
When Zachary is talking to Ambrose after the benefit. The mug on the table Ambrose is on goes from standing up straight to lying on it's side in between shots.
In the first movie Sam couldn't adopt Ambrose because Harriet was allergic, in this one she doesn't seem to be, because they adopt two.kittens. Also in the first one, Marliee's sister Jaclyn could not take in Queenie because her and her husband had 4 dogs. There's no dogs or mention of them in this sequel.
The Bend Oregon airport is a general aviation facility servicing small planes and does not support big airplanes as shown in the opening scene of a jet arriving into Bend.
The movie takes place in the mid of December through Christmas, and in Washington State, USA, but it was shot in BC, Canada. Location doesn't matter (they are similar) as it was clearly shot in the late summer. Right from the start, beautiful green leaves on the deciduous trees in the street scene. Later at chief's house, there are a lot of green deciduous bushes and shrubs around it. When they go to the tree lot, you can see a lot of green deciduous trees in the background around the lot. The most glaring example is the new Zachary's house with a lot of green deciduous trees, grass, and bushes. There is simply no way that deciduous trees and bushes have green leaves in the mid of December (they are almost completely bare), neither in Washington nor BC. Production used artificial snow to try to hide it at least in few scenes. It was so warm that basically nobody used hats, and jackets where almost always open. Around the half of the movie, there was even a heavy rain shower, typical for late summer or early autumn.
It seems those in charge couldn't decide on what the title to this movie should be. Some commercials and ads had either " Nine Kittens of Christmas " or "Nine Kittens for the Holiday" or "Nine Lives for the Holiday".
In the first movie, Jaclyn, Marilee's sister had 4 dogs. Which is why she couldn't take in Queenie. What happened to the dogs? No biggie, but when you do sequel, sometimes an explanation is needed when the current changes.
The text said they were in Bend, Oregon, but when the two sisters are chatting about how deep their family roots go in the town, she calls the town Jamestown.
The Story says they are in Oregon. In this movie they say they are in Oregon, but the fire trucks are painted like those in and around Chicago, IL.
