The hotel is located just north of the Icelandic town of Rip.

During the flight to the retreat it's mentioned that Andy loves the desert, and Darby questions if Andy picked the destination. Andy did pick the destination, and a desert is classified as an area where nothing grows, just like the long stretches of ice surrounding the hotel.

Scott Burik, the stunt coordinator on the set, taught Kellan Tetlow (Zoomer) how to ride a bike. When you see him riding in the show, he had only been on a bike a handful of times at that point, so the scene is very realistic.

Darby's name means "deer", a doe (as referred to the murdered women) are also a deer.

Darby is shown searching for Lee on a site called the doxx-files, the font is similar to the television show "X files".
