How was this film made? Genuinely. This is easily one of the most atrociously written/acted/directed/edited films I've ever seen in my life. My first year film school films were Oscar worthy in comparison. We're all usually forgiving with horrors, but this is honestly so awful I was crying with laughter in my screening. Anyone who worked on this film should be really embarassed. But hey, least it's reassuring to know we can all write films if garbage like this can pass all the checks.
I don't even want to waste a review on it, it's that bad, but I suppose I have to write at least 600 chracters here for me to be allowed to post the review. Honestly, I'm writing this so no one else will have to waste an hour and a half of their lives on this movie. It feels like a C grade murder flick from the 70s (though that era also gave us some excellent films). The plot is silly and has no logic, the situations are contrived, the performances are mediocre. The makeup and gore are a bit laughable, and the characters are halfbaked. Hard to believe such bad films are still being made in 2022.
Well here we go. You have a young girl traumatized by her dad's death. After a move from the city with her mom the daughter suspects her moms new boyfriend is responsible for her classmates disappearances and murders. So acting like a detective she sets out to prove who's behind the murders. When finished with this movie I was debating about what score to give it and it was between 5-6. Well needless to say I didn't hate the movie but it wasn't great either. Some of the music choices were definitely questionable. The chemistry between the mom and daughter was good. Overall this was a nice attempt for a slasher flick. As far as a recommendation I'd say yeah give a go. The kills were good.

I don't understand, I really don't understand, why an actress like Radha Mitchell allows herself to be cast in a completely insignificant and desperately stupid supporting role, where she is not given any space for even minimal acting performance. Unfortunately, this is not the only film in which Radha incomprehensibly does not even partially use her potential. To say something about the film itself, originality is not really its strong point. You'll discover the main villain long before the end, and you'll be able to focus more on the annoyingly illogical direction, script and editing. I'm not saying that the creators didn't try to do a professional job, but the effort is not enough when you can't decide whether you're shooting a comedy, crime or slasher.
This movie is so predictable that I stopped to check and see if I had seen it before because it was oh so familiar!
Awful acting from the young girl and her fellow actors and dialogue that is, well, at best amateur and embarrassing.
Plot holes are everywhere and what would be life stopping injuries and wounds seem to be nothing more than a mere inconvenience to the receiver.
The musical score is unsuitable I'd say and there seems to be very little cohesion between the actors.
Maybe two stars is being a bit generous?
Anyway, you'd be better off looking elsewhere for your scares and frights because they are limited in this high school production.
