    Entertaining thought provoking watch

A easy to watch well produced film with high quality acting and a flowing relaxing feel to it. The concept is a well trodden field regarding the "what if" we could revert to our youth. It explores the dilemma between deciding what you would change given another chance and contrasts between two juxtapositions within a marriage where one party wants to change the past and the other feels that it should be left well alone! The film is relaxed and in many parts amusing with well chosen locations and well written script. Don't take it too seriously as there is no right answer offered to the question so just relax and enjoy it!

    thought provoking

This is a masterful exploration of aging, regret, and the chance for a second go at life, centered around the compelling story of Robyn, a 70-year-old woman who discovers a formula that reverses aging. Pretorius skilfully blends fantasy and reality, crafting a narrative that's as thought-provoking as it is emotionally engaging. The film's technical brilliance shines through in its stunning cinematography and evocative soundtrack, enhancing the story's introspective and whimsical nature. As a 45-year-old viewer, I found the film's handling of themes like life's regrets and the desire for change deeply resonant. Forever Young stands out not just for its entertainment value but for its poignant commentary on life, making it a memorable cinematic experience that speaks to the complexities of aging and the possibilities of life's second chances.

    Enjoyable Indie Film

A thoughtful rendition of a loving old couple presented with a dilemma that threatens to sever their bond. She is frustrated because he cannot provide a convincing explanation as to why he refuses to take the elixir of life. Her exasperation compels her to push and prod him to no avail. He has a reason for refusing but he keeps it a secret for what he believes to be altruistic reasons. Despite his refusal, she still loves him dearly even as she regains her youth. Complicating matters, the source of the elixir is her old boyfriend, who still yearns for her. She continues her campaign of convincing him to take the elixir, going as far as adopting a homeless drug addict. The elixir of youth is an attractive proposition but grief and loss lurk.

I really enjoyed this quiet British drama. The acting and writing were a joy but it will not appeal to short attention spans.

    Beautifully written

A terrific movie and love story. Being in love with someone who has the qualities you admire, but qualities you may not have makes a wonderful couple. The husband should be nominated for an Oscar, so kind you didnt notice his age. The daughter has a great voice.

    Beautifully Done

Forever Young is a thought-provoking film that delves into the alluring fantasy of reversing the aging process. The story centers around 70-year-old Robyn, who embarks on a transformative journey after taking a formula that reverses aging. Her portrayal is deep and vulnerable, effectively capturing the emotional complexities of reliving life. The film excels in its subtle visual storytelling, focusing more on the human aspect than the science fiction, which enhances its emotional impact. The narrative's exploration of life choices and regrets is both reflective and resonant, encouraging viewers to contemplate their own decisions and life paths.

The pacing can be uneven at times, and some plot points feel underdeveloped. While the film ambitiously tackles philosophical themes, these occasionally overshadow the personal story. Despite these flaws, its core message about the beauty of embracing life at every stage makes it a compelling watch. It's a film that not only entertains but also inspires introspection, making it a valuable experience for those who appreciate cinema that challenges and enlightens.
