Iveta

Just watched the first two episodes of the eight episode first series and I'm hooked. The story, performances, and cinematography are all outstanding. Originally being from Slovakia, I don't think I've ever seen a series this well written and produced. The main character is Iveta, the young 18 year old daughter of a single mother from the city of Trebisov in the east of the country who gets a chance at a better life in Bratislava pursuing a modeling career. Of course there's so much more to the story and I don't want to give any spoilers away, but wow, this show definitely needs an international distribution deal after becoming JOJ TV's ratings smashing hit when it premiered in January 2023. Well done!
