We encountered Ricky most recently as the opener at a John Mulaney show. I remembered him from the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore where, if I'm honest, I didn't find him that funny. I actually turned to my wife and said, I don't love this guy. What followed was 5 of the funniest minutes of comedy we've seen. He absolutely killed. Funnier than Mulaney (that night) by a long shot. When we got home we immediately looked him up to see if he'd done any recorded specials and found this. To say he's matured (comedically) since Wilmore's show is an understatement. His comedy now is self-depreciating, silly, and absolutely hilarious. One of my favorite comedians working today, easily. Highly recommend this show.
I'm always looking for stand up comedy, and there's obviously plenty of it to be found. The problem is finding GOOD stand up comedy. And when I started watching "Here's everything" I wasn't too impressed. Another crude comedian, using too many curse words, nothing new here! But out of curiosity I kept watching anyway. And then something started happening, somehow I started to hear the humor beneath the jokes, if that makes any sense, and it made the jokes hit that much harder. Velez is a master at telling a joke while saying very little; but after a while of watching him it's obvious it is coming from a much deeper place.
Velez' comedy chops are second to none, his timing is impeccable, and he's good at it... he never makes the mistake of laughing along with the audience at his own jokes, the way too many lesser comics do. I started watching this hour long show expecting very little but wound up somewhat impressed by Ricky Velez by show's end. He's a very talented guy and one only hopes some TV or movie director can make a production that shows his true comedy talent.

He just reminds me
of hanging out with your friends telling stories, cracking jokes... he's a pretty good storyteller with some solid wit. I'm rooting for him now! Nicely done kid!
Some mildly amusing stories of growing up poor and marrying well, spoiled by bodily function jokes. He could be good in the future, depending if he takes material from his adult/married life.
His audience barely laughs! Skip it! Paint your living room and watch it dry would be more satisfying and entertaining than this comedy show which was a very much not comedic! Barely laughed. Wasn't worthy of a HBO MAX! Latinos are supposed to lift each other up, we should lift Ricky off the stage!
