Let me start this review by saying Im a huge Camilla Belle fan, have been for years, and I think she is absolutely gorgeous. However this movie is very bland. Camilla Belle has always played it safe in her movie choices and this film is no exception. She is basically playing herself, a kindhearted 30 something woman with an American father and Brazilian mother. The plot is predictable and the acting is lackluster, the two leads have no chemistry whatsoever. Also Camilla got an unfortunate haircut recently so she had to wear a party city wig for this movie. The production couldnt afford a decent wig?

This is not a romantic comedy. It's just romantic! It's a delightfully sweet and nuanced love story with a lot of truth to it.
It might be a bit sugarcoated and very low budget but that does not make it less inspiring.
I really liked the depiction of a developing relationship of two people who weren't "planning to fall in love".
Indeed these two were not falling in love like teenagers and going crazy. They were slowly becoming more fond of each other until they realized that it was actually true love.
The two leads could be a bit more passionate about it and I'd like to have seen at least a few real street scenes as it allegedly played in Chicago - my favorite city in the US - but you can't have it all I guess.

Real people never behave like the characters in this movie. The main character works as a writer who reduces love to a bullet list. Real people are not that stupid.
In scene after scene, characters behave and shallow unnatural ways. For example when she breaks the news to her boss that she's broken up with her boyfriend. The boss immediately picks up a tissue box and holds it out for her to take one. She wasn't even crying or anything.
No people don't act like this in real life and the writers of this movie should know better.
One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Let's be honest you're not here because you're looking for a masterpiece, but perhaps, something light maybe funny and romantic. The movie is pretty straight forward but is very sweet and cute. Some of the dialogue between the main characters is honest, like: be in the moment, I think there's value the way you engage to everything; is so simple which is so underrated these days. Soundtrack is lovely too.

7.8 stars.
I have many questions about the results of this movie. First question is: why does it have such a low rating? Second question: why are there so few reviews? Third question: in spite of the apparent indifference by most viewers, why do I like it so much? I will attempt to answer my own questions, so that we can share my theories about entertainment, and what makes people tick in the movie watching business (if there is such a thing. Of course there is...ask any employee of Rotten Tomatoes). Answer to question number one: because the majority of the audience is probably female, and the lead male is not very irresistible. Answer to question number two: that's a tough one to answer. Maybe it aired at a time when something major was simultaneously on television (award ceremonies, football, DWTS, etc...). Answer to question three: it's entertaining, I really like both actors, dialogue is funny and stimulating.
Bottom line, I like this movie a lot and am glad I watched in spite of the low ratings.

Didn't know any of the actors, but I was surprised at just how well they did. The story line was upbeat and entertaining. We all know where the movie is going but still sometimes we want to walk away from a movie feeling better, not dragged down. So, if you want a simple, pleasant, cute love story then this will fit the bill.
Frankly, I have never seen any work of Camila Belle. This was my first time as her other work has been out of my movie/tv preferences. She is an outstanding actress. David Lafontaine I have seen in supporting roles so it was great to see him in a lead role! Both did an outstanding job in this cute and funny story about love and romance. I watched this on Great American Family under a different title. Outstanding choice to bring on GAFamily! So grateful for people like Bill Abbott who are supporting clean, funny and refreshing movies. The supporting cast were excellent as well so kuddos to them. Loved the sets and costumes as well. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Wonderful script strategically directed by Brian Robert's with no wasted dialogue. Camilla Belle is the mature version of Dakota Johnson with a depth that captures the interest of young and old. We need more of her. This film is far beyond streaming and well worth your time.

I watched the movie and didn't catch much of it because I was so engrossed with Camilla Belle. I could not get enough of her. I could name other actresses who are just as gorgeous, but she is singularly adorable. From all angles. Sometimes from the side with her head canted slightly downwards she could be Anne Hathaway's prettier little sister. At certain moments, a more beautiful mature sibling. At all times, she's a fairy tale princess, living up to her name.
As romance movies go, I'm sure it's formulaic, derivative, and loaded with much of the usual tropes. But I don't care. Because Camilla Belle's in it, it's a perfect 10.
3 Thumbs Up!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I admit the first quarter of the movie almost turned me off to it because not only did I find out it's a tubi original (all I could think of is cheesy, Hallmark things) but also they played her character like the smart but clueless type...
She is that, but not the "stuck in her ways" trope,
Check 1 for not being the tireless gag we always get. They learned along the way. Two: They didn't make them clash for comedic value. (The Ugly Truth) Things naturally progressed and each party recognized and didn't shy away. Three: The conflict wasn't contrived forcing both parties revert to their older traits and ideals, they recognized the misunderstanding and though tempted to not, braved the storm anyway. Hope this had no spoilers because we all know how these end but I'll say this, it was no early 20's drama piece of ego but maturing, figuring out of things we all resemble coming out of the latter. Extra point for the soundtrack.
Yes, it's a little Chessy but the acting is well done, and I like Camilla Bell in romantic movies. She just needs better scripts and a higher-level production. I am giving a ten because an idiot gave a rating of one and this movie is around a 6 or 7, not a one. It's cute and cheesy but the premise has been done more than once.
