Hard hitting
Everything about this movie : acting , production design , music, cinematography was so good . Must watch movie .
Only drawback : I think length of movie could have been shortened by 10-15 minutes as some parts do feel stretched in an otherwise good movie.
In terms of performance Pallavi Joshi and Simran Kaur stood out . Namashi role was small but he was so scary . Darshan was OK .
This movie will leave impact .

Rattling, stays with you long after
Coming from a humanities background bengali girl, its surprising how few people know of the dehumanising crimes were committed during DAD. Thankfully my family is an aware one and i already knew of it. But it was rattling, soul-shaking even, to see it portrayed with such brutal honesty.
I agree that some points of the movie may be a little exaggerated but the rest is startlingly apt. The violence, the long standing trauma and the current ongoings in West Bengal are testimony to the relevance of the movie.
Our history books do not do us justice by summarising the Direct Action Day in just a small paragraph.

Go and watch
This is a must-watch movie. Those who don't know about Direct Action Day and I guess many people don't, will get to know about it through this film. The performances by the actors were commendable, the songs were truly impressive, and I personally found the second half of the film more engaging. Vivek Agnihotri showed as much as he could in the movie, who knows, in real life it might have been even worse. I agree that some scenes were exaggerated, but at the end of the day, it is a movie. Vivek Agnihotri is a brilliant director, and I think he could have made this movie even better in terms of filmmaking aspects like screenplay and cinematography,. And I don't understand why this movie is banned in West Bengal, since it doesn't show anything negative that could incite riots or create a political issue there.
Probably the Best film of 2025
The Bengal Files is a soul shattering movie, this isn't just a movie, it's the truth and a sad one, It shows you what really happened and it doesn't hold back
The acting is unbelievable (from almost every actor), you will feel every bit of pain and anger, It's a tough watch, but it's very important, Only negative thing is it's length but it still engages you till the end.

Much needed
Before watching this movie, I had no idea about the "Action Day". Many thanks to Vivek Ji for creating this much needed masterpiece!
The performances are mostly top notch and loved the execution with which narrative kept me glued to the theatre screen.
The movie could have been slightly shorter in length.
