When Philip Met Missy

As someone who enjoys true crime media, it's very odd to watch something that takes place in my hometown and seeing places where I've eaten and currently work. I remember hearing about this on the news when it happened, but I never heard the whole story.

This special does a great job telling the story of the murder, and the investigation that followed. They did play up the small town where everyone knows everyone way too much. There are over 2000 people who live in Hartville, not easy to know everyone. That said, I have interacted with some of the people interviewed, and I even work for one.

However, the special does in my opinion do justice to our small police force, and the amazing investigation they went through.

A nicely documented small-town mystery. In a place where locals gather either at McDonald's or at Burger King for their daily dose of coffee and gossip, one would hardly expect the police force to be up to the task of solving a murder. Well, you just may be surprised....
