Internet unites us with people from far away, but is it separating us from the ones around us? First world problem is the story of one such internet addict, Rishina, who's life depends on internet and social network influencing. March 2020, Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, a nationwide lockdown of 21 days has been imposed throughout India. Being a self-proclaimed social media influencer, Rishina tries to keep up the high spirits and the positive vibe alive... only when online. From Dalgona coffee to a Yoga video, her life revolves around the "likes" that she gets on her posts. Her world goes crashing when the internet at her house stops working and to add to her misery even the mobile network is not working. With nowhere to go and no one to meet due to the lockdown, she is trapped in her own house, without internet and without cellular network coverage. The whole day passes in her trying to keep herself entertained by trying out various things, only to keep checking her phone time and again to see if the internet was working again. Her boredom reaches its peak and finally she reaches out to her mom telling her that she is super bored. Her mom tells her to sit with her and spend time together. They go through some old family photographs and nostalgia takes over. Rishina and her mother genuinely spend quality time together which they had not done since a long time. After a while, Rishina starts getting notifications on her phone. Its as if she has found a new life. She jumps out of excitement and leaves the room with her phone. The mother keeps looking on at her daughter go away. Rishina walks out and realizes that she has left her mother all alone... again. She puts her phone on mute and decides to spend time with her mother again. In this nationwide lockdown, the mother finally got her daughter back and for the daughter, her mother became a part of her social media posts.
