One of Missa X's most ingenious movie, "The Better Man" spotlights redhead star Maya Kendrick in a commanding role, playing a schemer out to seduce friend Seth Gamble who's best man for her impending marriage. Bamboozling him and cheating on her groom don't deter this strong-willed manipulator from having her way.

The details of how this unfolds are quite interesting and I won't spoil them, all leading to a wacky climactic scene where Maya shows up dressed like a cat burglar (resembling a Serena Williams tennis costume), sneaking through the bedroom window to seduce reluctant Seth while his wife (presumably Kenna James but with the actress's face not shown) sleeps soundly having taken a sleeping pill. Combination of female cuckoldry and betraying his bestie the groom gives the show just the right taboo touch.

Maya truly excels as the woman you love to hate.
