Cheap (2005)

Trivia

Cheap

Edit
According to Brad Jones and David Gobble, they were both surprised by Bianca Queen's performance as Natalie Nichols and wished they could have used her more. Jones later cast her in leading roles for Midnight Heat (2007) and Game Boys (2008).
The movie was filming in 2004 when The Passion of the Christ (2004) came out. According to Brad Jones and David Gobble on their commentary, when Passion came out, it moved Carrie Jo Stucki and Jessica Stone in such a way that they did not want to participate in Cheap because of the violent nature. For a while Jones and Gobble were scared that they would have to recast and re shoot the movie. Instead, they decided to have stand ins for the killing scenes since they would be masked anyway. However, the scenes between Stucki and Gobble, including the rape scene, had to be rewritten because the scene had Stucki saying dialogue. Tori Zimmerli stood in for Stucki for those two scenes.
When he first introduced this film on his website, Brad Jones said that it was his favorite of the films he has made. However, later on he stated that Midnight Heat was in fact his favorite.
Was originally two hours and twenty minutes according to Brad Jones on his commentary but felt it was too long so he re cut it to its current running time.
Karl Kox was actually a woman in the original script. However, Brad Jones couldn't find an actress to play that part so he rewrote it as a man and cast his friend Buford Stowers.
