Honestly I was getting bored in the beginning because of an unusual representation of characters which I wasn't used to. But the brilliant cinematographic art made me keep watching. And by the time being, I started noticing the beauty of it, the storyline progression, the outstanding performance of two main characters made me feel like I'm reading a book and getting lost in imagination but visual representation.
The plot, how I couldn't relate to it exactly but still felt like it's my kinda movie: I wasn't young enough during telephone days. But this movie left me wishing I was young before this social media, dating apps bs. Being a part of this hook up culture of 2023, I hate to its core and can't even get out of it due to the fear of being lonely and left out. This movie left me feeling romantically empty and wondering whether genuine connections are possible or not in this era, or perhaps it's just me, who's brain was conditioned in the culture where there is high chance that my own subconscious mind is also acting as an enemy of forming one, even if there is a window.
Who should watch this movie: Anyone who is patient enough to get on with the flow of the movie, anyone who ever is/was in love, anyone who isn't completely lost in today's "dating>partner just hiccuped?>break up>choose from plenty other options" culture!

"About Him & Her" is a film like none other, chronicling these characters' swift fall into romance. This story reminds of a time before distracting mobile devices and social media when people connected and listened to one another; I can't help but yearn for a connection as beautiful and as genuine as the one displayed between "him and her." I read in another review that the actors didn't see one another until after filming. Now that's a level of commitment that brings sincerity to this story. You can feel it! Not to mention the beautiful cinematography and lighting throughout this film; it's incredibly immersive and quite impressive that these components were able to maintain my attention and focus (I say this as a viewer with a short attention span who is used to seeing the actors' faces). My overall take is: watch this film!
I liked this one very much.
Full of details and interesting story-telling, it developes a romance, which is INTERESTING to watch.
I liked the organization of the film-making, the timeless format of visual presentation.
No ideology filled in it - it's pure and artistic.
What I did not like: It was a "bit" slow and some exaggerations are in place.
But the movie seems complete and not exaggerated as a whole.
Much more: It's a beautiful love-story to watch!
Believable and well executed!
Highly recommanded.
Especially for people, who don't like the "modern" fast-paced way of things full of gender-propaganda!
8/10.

This movie made me cry and laugh and feel something so sweet and poignant. It Is based on the producer's real life experience when phone lines used to get crossed in the 80s and 90s before all was lost to cellular phones. This was before wifi and the internet. Before.... MySpace and LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok Snapchat and Facebook. Back when there was no texting but, actually having to talking to someone over the phone. This was a lovely little movie that hit this lady right in the feels. According to what I've read up about this film, the 2 main leads never got to see each other until the movie's premiere. Give it a try. I was cynical about it at first but it won me over quite soon.
"About Him & Her" feels incredibly genuine and is such a heartfelt romance story. Its structure is a nice break away from the standard structure you often find in a romance movie. It's refreshing to see a story that doesn't get too muddled in its characters or some grand old meet-cute. The actors have so much chemistry with one another even though they don't often share the same space. The cinematography is delicate and beautiful which compliments the warm soft lighting. Every element of this movie oozes with warm romance and it has a quality touch to it. If you are a fan of love, a hopeless romantic, or just enjoy quality cinema, you should give this a watch!
