The title suggests a thriller, but it's actually a tinny little vehicle (shelved for three years before eventually hitting screens after Richard Goolden had become popular on the radio as 'Old Ebenezer' the night watchman at the Old Town Hall, as the opening credits remind us) in that old chestnut about a 'little man' mistaken for a millionaire and being mailed poisoned chocolates.
When it abruptly ended after forty-eight garrulous minutes I actually said out loud "Is that it?" Such are the vagaries of film preservation that this trifle survives in the pristine print shown on Talking Pictures this morning.

This short feature ends rather abruptly. Given that it had a delayed release leads one to conjecture that maybe this was originally a longer film, say an hour, but that nobody would take it for distribution till it was cut down to its present length. At whatever length it isn't particularly funny.
