This is a movie that people who are not from Uruguay and Argentina may not understand so well because of the "trapitos culture"
This is something we see day by day on the streets in our countries and I think the acting was quite good.
Trapitos are almost anywhere in the city and some of them are very agressive and violent while some others are quite nice and respectful just like our main character, Togo.
There are some plot holes, though.
However, the film does a decent job with its slow but progressive pace.
If you like crime and drugs stuff, you should give Togo a try!
PS: Congratulations on your first netflix movie, Uruguay!!!

This is a crime film and Ill give it that for getting it right. Theres not really too much that goes on though. We see this elderly gentleman called togo, who is acted very well. Now he watches the drug dearlers and their comings and goings as he washes cars by day. Its not really though untill we get near the end of the film that we actually get some action, and that is all thanks to togo himself who comes through and shown as very tough as nails despite what you might think. Over cast memebers are ok to but I really wish there was more to this film and it was not as slow. But being netflixs first uraguay film shows it has promise.
I did'nt know that this was the first Movie from Uruguay to be featured on Netflix. But i just watched this recently and i thought that it was a very good very well made film. It has alot of heart and it was believable. The acting was pretty good also especially by the main character . I would'nt say that the actual story or theme was original its sort of like a Crime Drama dynamic ,but the way it was done was very good the lead character has alot of integrity & pride and of course i was rooting for him to beat the bad guys. The feel and general pacing of it kind of reminded me of another film that came out in early 2000 from Brazil called "Children of God" totally different subject matter but generally the same type of dynamic and feel. Yes i quite liked it alot.
I thought this film was excellent. It's a slow movie which builds to a satisfying finish. If you are expecting hardcore action maybe this isn't the one for you but if you can appreciate a climactic well made film then sit back and enjoy.
Togo is a great character. Street smart, empathetic and uncompromising. He loves his neighbours and his friends and is willing to help others out in his own way. When drug dealers arrive and threaten what he has we see a different side to him.
The only thing that bothered me was that it could have gone further and put more of a finality to the story. It is left open but maybe we might get another installment.

Loved the movie!
So real, so moving!
Great acting and escaping from the us frame of movie!
Totally recommend it.
Realistic and brings a touch of other cultures but at the same time the drug problem which every country can relate.
Bravo 🙌🏾 for the actors, script and everyone envolved.
An opportunity for new cinema.
Great connection between the actors.
Besides drugs, approaches mental health issues, the homeless situation.
The world is changing and is good to see the main character is not white.. gives a space to other good actors.
I liked the movie very much!!!!!!
