Khurrana stars as Karam, a young man in Mathura whom financial circumstances force to pose as a woman, Pooja, and the mayhem that ensues. Mumbai, May 10 (Ians) Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who was most recently seen in ‘An Action Hero’, is set to perform at the Iifa Awards this year in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The International Indian Film Academy Awards, popularly known as Iifa, is returning for its 23rd edition on May 26 and 27 and will see the who’s who of Bollywood in attendance with deserving artistes being honoured for their work in Hindi cinema for last year.

Iifa is the world’s biggest celebration of Indian cinema and it is set to bring together the very best in music and entertainment under one roof.

For its 22nd edition, the Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani-starrer ‘Shershaah’ was conferred with the honour of Best Film with the event hosted by Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul.

Mumbai, Dec 10 (Ians) Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana, who was most recently seen in ‘An Action Hero’, is a huge fan of superstar Shah Rukh Khan – to the extent that he studied mass communication because of him.

Srk had enrolled for a course in mass communication Jamia Millia Islamia, but left to pursue his acting career.

Talking about the same, the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor said: “I am a huge fan of Shahrukh Khan. In fact, I even studied Mass Communication because of him. In my films, I have often dedicated some scenes to him.”

He also revealed that he once saw Srk’s 1997 release ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ while standing for three hours straight inside a theatre in Chandigarh.

Ayushmann said: “I was in the seventh grade when ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ was released. I still remember, I had gone on my cycle to buy tickets but the theatre was housefull.

The theme song, ‘Asli Action Chaalu’ from Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘An Action Hero’ is performed by Gully Gang signees and leading Mumbai-based rappers D’Evil and Shah Rule and is composed by Parag Chhabra. The groovy track brings to life the well-choreographed action sequences of the film.

D’Evil states, “This has been a very impromptu opportunity. I had to forsake my underground mumbaiya personality and embrace a more mainstream commercial vibe. This has been a novel experience for me but I have experimented with my style and soundscape. Music director Parag Chabbra was impressed with my work on ‘Asli Action Chalu’ and also offered me to jump on another song from the album along with Vivek Hariharan ‘Ghere Mein’.
