Every Friday, Fumiko, a wealthy young lady, comes to buy a cake at Patisserie Cheval, where pastry chef Joji works. Both are attracted to each other, but the gap between them remains, with Joji's brother Ryo watching with anxiety.
Joji hears that Fumiko is going to take part in the town's Halloween event, so he persuades Ryo to set up a stall to hand out cookies. On the day of the event, the huge crowd cause the cookies to run out before Fumiko arrives.
Joji regrets his bold actions at the Halloween event, while Fumiko begins to wonder if Joji's kindness is directed only at her. Joji hopes that once Fumiko orders a Christmas cake, he'll finally learn her name.
Joji is afraid that his romantic relationship with Fumiko will fail, so on New Year's Day, he ends up taking back what he told her at Christmas. Fumiko stops visiting the store, and Valentine's Day arrives.
