Bob Allen, the stories hero, was a civilian at the start of the second great war. After 4 long years as a POW he was decorated as a lieutenant and earned a bronze star & a purple heart among other wartime achievements after his rescue with his soon to wife, Billie. This film is their story.
In 2002 "Bob" was honored personally by the president with a Presidential commemoration for the life-saving work he did during World War II.
