Allie sleeps with the charismatic artist Chresten who recommends her a heartache support group. Allie sees the opportunity to get her ex David back by joining the group and finally get the help that David has been pressuring her to get.
Allie feels bad about sleeping with Chresten and considers telling Ellen. She still can't help continuing in the group since they clearly need her help. First one is Fie and Allie decides to help her find someone new.
Victoria is filled with shame after being the one leaving her ex and Allie wants to help her drink the shame away and maybe by "accident" run into David. But it doesn't exactly go as planned and Allie ends up creating a bit of a mess.
Simon has a problem with his temper and Allie decides to help him get back in touch with his ex by sending a tiny "innocent" text message, as the group is out bowling. Chresten has fallen in love with Allie, but she ends it with him.
Chresten leaves Ellen and refuses to tell her who he's been cheating with. Ellen decides to go on a forgiveness-spree and Allie tries to convince her to use her therapist-mindset and forgive long distance instead of face-to-face.
Martin's ex left him because Martin is too boring, so Allie decides to help Martin disrupt his work life. Allie confesses the affair to Ellen in front of the entire group and then goes to David for comfort.
Allie and Agathe run into Birgitte as they're looking for a place to cremate Peter the dog. Birgitte let them use her oven at the ceramic's work space. The group also shows up to cremate their exes and finally be able to move on.
