The return of the expatriate somewhat sweetened the mother's grief over the unsolved murder of her other son, Hristakis, but it could not eliminate her desire for revenge.
The investigator goes to the area where Giorgis' family lives and starts the investigation. He is accompanied by Mihailos, because Giorgis has some obligations in Istanbul.
Giorgis learns that Ahmet is being close to find Hristakis' killer and comes to inform his mother. She and Valinde go to the police to see the man that Ahmet has arrested. They learn, however, that he has managed to escape.
