After a weak start, now THIS is IASIP!!

The first episode was political, which is not bad. Previous political episodes were hilarious and smart for punching both sides and making everybody wrong at the end. The last one was just preachy towards one side only.

This one is more like it!!! They got a topic, and made both sides look stupid in very funny ways, which is a great characteristic of the show.

Talking about how things should move in the right direction, but that going there destroys the fun is a great base for great laughs and debate at the same time.

    So GREAT!!!

(anyway... lethal weapon 5 and 6 were not offensive at all. They didn't mock a race, they mocked people who don't see how stupid they are, Mac and Dennis. Both episodes were just hilarious. I can say "The sky is blue" and some people will feel offended cause they can't see color. Feeling offended is not the same as offending, and they didn't offend anybody.)

    A fun and clever satire

This episode cleverly addressed the 'controversy' the show faced last year, and the modern film industry. There were some fun throwbacks and returning faces and a hilarious ending.

Anyone complaining about politics is wrong.

From LITERALLY EPISODE 1, It's Always Sunny has touched on political issues. Only now are "fans" upset, probably due to the deeply divided political state of the US. You're totally justified to not enjoy it, however saying "the show is too political now" is just false.

Dennis' bathroom speech tells you all you need to know

The irony of the arguments in the reviews for this episode seem to be lost on a lot of people.

Yes Sunny has always been political, but in this episode the gang do seem to be more self aware than they've been in the past. Part of the charm of Sunny is that the characters are a*holes and don't seem to realise it. Dennis in particular seemed a little off, especially when they were sat around the pool table discussing the wrongs of the film industry.

But then we get to the scene where they are in the bathroom. They start talking about how rubbish being woke is making their film. And Dennis reveals his motivations. That was my 'ah I get it now' moment.

This episode is on the nose about wokeness and their previous episodes being pulled, but no more so than The Gang Tries Desperately To Win An Award, which is a classic!

Dennis face when he says 'I'm 26' is genius! The subtle facial expressions of all characters in this episode are so good. And for those who are saying it's not quotable anymore can't have listened properly because 'finger on the pulse, finger on the p*ss' is definitely a classic line.

The end part of the episode is classic Sunny and makes the self awareness at the beginning make sense and brings it back to the characters we know and love.

    They sounded uh, pretty good.

I have no problem with the gang tackling political issues but in the past Sunny has always been funny while doing so and although these episodes have funny moments it is not even close to what you expect from a show of this caliber. Show feels forced, where is that improvisational tone it used to have? Still pretty good but not good enough to open for boyz 2 men.
