This movie was shot on various locations around South Central Los Angeles in the early spring of 1990. Gang members from the local neighborhood often came by and watched the making of the motion picture, even helped out in certain instances. Even though the film set always had paid police protection on the set at one point two rival sets of gang members got into a fight with each other involving a drive-by with baseball bats, pipes and fists in car windows that momentarily halted the production of the movie.
