When Hiro and his friends were in elementary school, they formed a team called Bright, but after losing their Gunpla, they got in a fight and disbanded. Four years later, they receive a video from Imaizumi and reunite at their alma mater.
Hiro and Sota visit their old secret base to reunite team Bright. However, they find that Nakamaru has loaned the base out to his female classmates, and they have to share the space. They receive a match request from team Monster.
Team Bright meets Sendo and begin negotiations to have him create a weapon for them. Sota's exit from the team troubles Hiro. Kentaro suggests psychological warfare as a strategy. Nakamaru comes up with a plan on the day of the match.
Team Bright analyzes their technique, making Takumi feel responsible for their performance in Sota's absence. Kentaro finds inspiration while watching Satsuki, Mana, and Momoka record a makeup video. The regional tournament begins.
Takumi loses confidence after a rude interview and freezes in the middle of a match before passing out. Team Monstre and team Bright progress to the finals.
