I watch all the Drag Race series and I really liked Drag Race Italia. I will just give a quick summary on both, IMHO:
Season.1 of course they were just finding their footing and there were not as many Queens as I would like. I really did like the Judges, particularly Priscilla of course who is the Main Judge and Tommaso, who was the one presenting the challenges for the most part to the Queens and Chiara was also there on the panel. I really enjoyed the series and looked forward to the next season. The Queens were great and of course you fall in love with them, some more than others like any drag race series. I felt some of the costumes and challenges were not quite up to par quite yet, but after they got their footing it did get much better. I will not give any spoilers though as I am not sure when others watch it.
Season 2, got much better in terms of there were more Queens, the challenges got better (most of them). The Judges were now in their groove, but Chiara was featured a lot more in this season and she now was the one who was presenting the Queens with challenges. However, I must say, it was 100% better when Tommaso did it. I do like Chiara but I just felt that she is awkward in this setting. She does not really know the lingo/drag sayings. She tries to be, but she is not. She is not like Michelle Visage who for the most part, is a Drag Queen herself, and she knows the ballroom scene. Chiara is more of a fashion person and I just feel that when Tommaso and Priscilla do it the Queen's are better represented as is that community as a whole. This is just mho of course and the bottom line is, I am hooked and am looking forward now to Season 3. Drag Race Italia is another Winner!

Maybe it's cultural. Maybe it's just not up to mark. But being it's first drag reality show, let it grow if it has mileage. One thing for sure, the pit crew is primo excellente. Girl, the pit crew here set the standard across boundaries.
Production-wise it can be very rough around the edges but let's not forget this is just the first season.
The queens are always serving and they are very charismatic. The challenges have never failed and have always been entertaining. The critiques are mostly fair and so are the queens' placements for each episode. Even when a placement might seem controversial, the judges always explain their reasons behind their decisions and I think this is very important.
There's room for improvement, especially when talking about the editing and the format but this is a solid first season.
It didn't land as good as Drag Race Espana but it's nowhere near the mess of Down Under or Holland. Toxic fans should stop throwing extremely low ratings (1,2,3 stars) around only because their favourite didn't make it to the finale. The show is good.

Let's start with Untucked: AWESOME. It was refreshing to see the queens letting it all out without restraining themselves out of fear of fans reception.
The cast seems very strong and in the sewing challenge many looks were pretty good and put together nicely.
The workroom is brilliantly designed and the main stage is fine.
They were all hilarious and the judges panel reminds of Drag Race España in terms of how it works.
I just hope they can make the edit more fluid and they must fix the lightning during the runway because it was too distracting.

There is a lot that needs to be changed for season 2. For example, the lighting of the runway, the confessionals, the weird elimination farewell, too much talking but overall good first season.
