I heard this anime was one of the summer surprises and decided to give it a go once it finished airing because I'm more of a binge person. Did not go into it with great expectations but ended up being pleasantly surprised.
The first few episodes start a bit slow, more of a get to know the two main characters, but if you pass them (and I recommend a little patience) it becomes pleasantly surprising. I've found the animation quite beautiful, and each new character introduced has an interesting story and background. I really hope for a season two just to see where this goes, it has lots of potential and was better than I expected, definitely a recommend.
Overall I'd say it's a 8-9, subjective of course, but i want to support a second season so I'll hit that 10 star.

This is like a moving painting I really like the art on this anime. It doesn't have a dull moment especially when Nazuna Nanakusa is around she's very funny with her teasing and reactions. They are also slowly introducing other characters to make things more interesting which is very nice. Ko Yamori is the type of kids who is seeking adventure who wants to reach out to someone and spend time with them. Very nice anime, again amazing artwork.
Call of the Night started out as a great visual experience and all that was going for it was a certain vibe that everyone enjoyed. But as this series went on, it's world building, creative direction and characters grabbed my attention. The anime is primarily a romance inside a supernatural world, and the romance too started as a trivial relationship but grew on me as the anime went on. And it's being said all around, but it's worth saying, the animation here is gorgeous. I still think the first half is a bit uneventful and it could have been more interesting. But overall I really enjoyed this.
This anime had something in it that was different from the others
There was a calming quality in this anime that calmed my soul and made my day
This anime attracted me because of its voice and good story
I strongly request the producer to please make a continuation of this anime in any way possible, because if this anime continues, it will reach a high level.
Not only did they provide good quality voice acting and story This anime is great and recommended But please try not to watch this anime with the family Because watching this anime in front of one's family makes one feel embarrassed Thanks.

I'm not a fanboy saying "perfect" to a romcom anime because I just liked the girl :D but this show is really close to being perfect.
After watching Horimiya, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Sing Yesterday for Me and Higehiro recently I have some fresh experience to make a comparison here.
Horimiya and Rascal came on top for me but I had one major issue with both, that those strong MCs introduced in the first few episodes are just getting neglected later on and all we are left with are just some subpar side characters. *meh* I just watched till the end to know what happens with our beloved MCs, while I could not get really involved in the side characters' story *meh* (Both shows are great, don't get me wrong, I gave 8/9 for both.)
So, Call of the Night just doesn't forget about its MCs, not at all, there are new characters introduced, but the story still revolves around Nazuna and Ko mostly, which is cool. Also, not too much school life here, no cute little girls, no annoying whiny characters, the story usually happens in the night, it's a bit dark and the humor is sarcastic and adult. Nazuna's teasings are gold. The ending was a safe play, I'd say, but nonetheless, it was good and I liked how it addressed certain topics. (No spoiler intended.)
And there are other factors like the artistically beautiful presentation of the night city life, the awesome soundtrack, the retro neon vibes and the wholesome and mature script.
I've never expected to get interested in a vampire story, but here we go. :)
(The only complaint I can make is about our boy, he should have been a little bit more interesting, imho.)
