Their Grandpa Peakssen (Charlie Gaddy) reveals a family secret: they must find the Oracle on the train known as “Steamy”. Set in the early nineteenth century, this episode is a historically accurate fictional story of a son’s struggle to balance his quest for knowledge and his responsibilities to his family. Will Roxnna and JohnColeman evade the greedy, whacky duo determined to discover their secret of the time-travel vortex? Will Peak City ’s bumbling town manager, Nate Weever (Mark Roberts), and his foster son and “real” detective, Miles (Akin Williams), effect their investigative skills on the duo? This family-friendly adventure combines historical drama and present-day humor to entertain and enlighten audiences of all ages

Two modern day children go back in time and visit Abe Lincoln to help him make important life decisions

This pilot episode has something for people of all ages. Well-researched, it provides education about Lincoln as a teen and many viewers will learn something new and interesting. I had the impression I knew Abe by the end of the show. However it is not only educational. The humorous sub-plots keep the show moving and the audience laughing.

The small-town setting for the modern scenes highlight some of the best aspects of America today--friendliness, community and family. I recognized many of the Rusty Bucket Kids characters as kids I grew up with. When the plot moves back in history, the feel of the show reflects that and the audience is transported as well.

This is a wonderful episode that the whole family can watch.
