TV writer Daley Haggar is “snitching on Hollywood sexism” in a Lenny Letter published Friday. The “Anger Management,” “Cristela” and “Friends With Benefits” alum says she was fired from a gig after being sexually harassed by a senior staff member she identified as “Carlton.” Haggar, who per IMDb was once a task producer and consultant on “The Apprentice,” did not identify which series the story was referring to — but she shared her motivation for the essay’s timing. “I had drinks with a group of friends — all younger female writers,” Haggar wrote for Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner’s website.

Tigress is coming to Gotham, and she will be played by Gracepoint star Jessica Lucas. You might also recognise the actress from shows like Melrose Place, 90210, and Friends With Benefits. In the series, Lucas will play Tabitha Galavan, the lead enforcer for her brother Theo, a billionaire industrialist hell-bent on taking over Gotham. Described as sexy and violent — and toting a bullwhip! — she’s the opposite of her cold and calculating brother, deriving a sensual pleasure from the mayhem she’s tasked with making. Forgetting the fact that she'll probably be in her 40s by the time Bruce Wayne becomes Batman in this timeline, this is solid bit of casting. What do you think?...

In 2009, screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber willfully threw out the book on romantic comedies for (500) Days of Summer. The indie centered on a love affair between a hopeless romantic and could-be dream girl who insists she doesn.t crave commitment. With the combined star power of the ever-charming Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the adorkable Zooey Deschanel, this unconventional comedy with a whip-smart script became a sleeper hit, launching everyone involved to the next level. While director Marc Webb went on to reboot The Amazing Spider-Man, Neustadter and Weber created a short-lived sitcom (Friends With Benefits) before returning to film with another tale of love called The Spectacular Now. This time around, Neustadter and Webb put their observational eye and skill for banter to a story of a teen romance that blossoms between two unlikely lovers. "Guys with Kids," NBC's new sitcom set in a mythical version of New York where no one locks apartment doors and people are fine with babies in bars, has its sneak peek Wednesday, Sept. 12.
The half-hour sitcom then settles into its regular time slot two Wednesdays later. It isn't fantastical the way "Grimm" is but rather conveniently mythical the way Hollywood likes life, with incredibly nasty ex-wives walking all over spineless men and kids running roughshod over befuddled parents.
Though a knee-jerk reaction would be that this is inherently sexist -- why should it be funny just because males are minding the children? -- the show is neither incredibly funny nor offensively sexist, and it has promise based on one of the couples.

Chicago – NBC revealed their Fall schedule today and there were multiple surprises including comedies moving to Tuesday and Friday nights (we were wondering where all of the sitcoms would go) and a Fall cycle of the hit singing show “The Voice.” Other major news is that “Smash” is being held for mid-season. The network also revealed that six new shows — two dramas, four comedies — will premiere in the Fall.
The big news for comedy fans is that Thursdays have been tinkered with again as the final season of “30 Rock” will kick off the night at 7pm Cst, followed by “Up All Night,” “The Office,” and “Parks and Recreation.” In the 9pm Cst timeslot that was the kiss of death last season with “Prime Suspect,” “The Firm,” and “Awake,” the network has given up and will air the low-rated but inexpensive “Rock Center with Brian Williams.”

Having just watched (500) Days of Summer for the (embarrassing number deleted)th time, I found myself wondering what Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber has been up to since they penned the delightful, adorable, twee and surprisingly honest 2009 romantic comedy starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.
It turns out they've been keeping busy as the creators of a TV show called "Friends with Benefits" - not to be mistaken for the Timberlake-Kunis joint from last summer - and have a Shakespearean adaptation called Rosaline coming in 2013. But the real (good) news is that their next gig will be writing for Shailene Woodley, last year's break-out actress and Oscar nominee, in coming-of-age drama The Spectacular Now.

An alumnus from J.J. Abrams’ Lost is on her way to the set of Fringe on Fox. In fact, we hear another Lost actor, Maggie Grace, also has a new gig. It’s for a killer new pilot. But let’s focus on Fringe, shall we?
Fans of Fringe will remember seeing a season finale last year that delivered the disappearance of Peter. Someone is always disappearing on that series. This time around, on the upcoming May season ender, someone will appear instead of disappear and that person is Lost‘s Rebecca Mader, who played Charlotte once upon a time.
For Fringe, Mader will play Jessica, someone who will connect heavily with Olivia. We’ll see her work beginning in the final two episodes of the season. And get this, producers tell TV Guide that Jessica is linked to the super villain David Robert Jones. She’s also a tough chick.

Variety reports that Millennium NuImage have just purchased the rom-com spec Lauren Pemberton is No Longer in a Relationship; Robert Cort will produce.
Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger teamed to write the script, which “focuses on a guy who reconnects with his high school crush through Facebook when he discovers she is single only to find out that he is not the only one in pursuit.” In a world consumed by Facebook and social media, it was only a matter of time before it took over Hollywood as well; look at the Darren Aronofsky-produced Xoxo, a “Fatal Attraction for the digital age.” We’ve come a long way since 1998, when You’ve Got Mail seemed hi-tech.
This script also led Berger and Aptaker to obtain staff writing positions on NBC’s Friends With Benefits, and currently serve as executive story editors on MTV’s Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous.
