There is nothing new in the story and screenplay of the movie. Still India's first alien based movie worth a watch. The appearance and body design of the alien in this movie is very strange. The movie has some unrealistic and illogical scenes. Very few people act in this movie and the performances of those who do are quite good. The length of this movie is very long, due to which the movie will be very boring. There are no entertaining scenes in this movie. There are no scenes to give goosebumps. The director is somewhat successful in his attempt to make India's first alien movie but the movie would have been better if the story and screenplay were better. There is no background score in the movie. Those who love alien movies can watch this first alien movie in India at least once. But for those who don't like Alien movies, this movie is nothing but a waste of time.
One Predator is enough to destroy humans but here you will find more than 10 aliens/ Predators aka Monsters, all those looks so cheap like they are imported from China. The story is pathetic and screenplay is boring, nothing looks original. It seems trainee CGI and graphics students worked in the movie. Even the guns used in movie looks like toy. Its totally waste of time and money. Such movie needs thrilling elements which are completely missing in film. I feel even the shaktiman serial was better than the movie. All actors looked so kiddish and nothing worked for the movie. This movie should be avoided.
*** Captain Movie Review****
Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan...
Starring Aryan, Simran , Kavita Shetty in lead role....
Verdict of the Movie : Above Average... 2.5 / 5
Plot of The Movie:
A group of soldiers goes to a uncivilized place named Sector 42 , somewhere located in the north east border as per the instruction of the government to inspect & certify the place as a civilized place.
But the reality is different. There they come across a group of beasts / predators against whom they need to fight and accomplish the mission...
Positive Factors of the Movie:
1) Its not a hero centric movie... Every character had its relevance and they performed well too.
2) Avoidance of hero - heroine conventional love sequences
3) A different approach from Shakti Soundar Rajan is being adopted...At one end where such kind of science fiction , predator movies were seen a lot in Hollywood, an experimental approach in Kollywood should be applauded...
4) Some thrilling moments...
Negative Factors of the Movie
1) Was there a heroine required?? As although they avoided the conventional rom com situation still it would have been better without a heroine...
2) VFX was average...It was not convinceable
3) Although here the villian is a fiction, still it didn't gave the goosebumps as it was being portrayed...

We watched the film with the hope of being amazed but the visual effects, script, and acting, sadly, worked against the film
DELICIOUS
-Big up to the casting director for selecting the right faces for the right roles; we loved Vetri's team, their looks complemented each other. And the General (Adithya Menon) was tall, dark, and robust 😍
-The story was intriguingly told through the 4 stages of battle: Identify the enemy, fight the enemy, find out the enemy's weakness, and deceive the enemy. As these stages were constantly reiterated, they became good reference points to understand where the movie was headed
-Aishwarya Lekshmi, as always, was graceful. Though making a brief appearance, she left an unforgettable mark with the gentle touch she added
-So, minotaurs, in Greek mythology, represented the primal fear of the unknown in the mind of humans, and what Captain did so well was using minotaurs to point Vetri and his team to the greater enemy they were unaware of
BLAND
-The visual effects were the major downfall. The minotaurs, gunshot wounds, and other CGI elements appeared very fake to the extent that it was disengaging. Images looked grainy and lighting wasn't properly controlled in some scenes
-There was way too much music than necessary :(
-The cast couldn't accurately portray their emotions, e.g. When Vetri and his team were struck by the minotaurs, they immediately recovered from pain within a few minutes
-The screenplay lacked a lot of logic like how did Vetri quickly believed in the existence of minotaurs? If gunshots couldn't hurt minotaurs, why still use guns?
-Overall, Captain didn't invite us; we just watched without being transported into the story.

It's a daring attempt from director to show our audience something new, atleast we should appreciate his efforts,he has been experimenting with his films, all his past works are like this, zombie movie called miruthan, space movie called tik tik tik, and a movie with talking teddy bear, i really enjoy his works, kudos to Arya for trying something new every time,it's an Indian version of predator but this story has emotional side as well,it's predictable at some parts but it's not that worst as so called critics mentioned, if we don't encourage this kind of films there won't be anything new for us to watch in future, keeping everyone's opinion aside i recommend everyone to watch this atleast once in order to encourage the efforts made by the team.
