The young Pim parts his hair on the left, contrary to Gino, who Pim has a crush on. The slightly older Pim now parts his hair on the right like Gino, with whom he has fallen unalterably in love.
"Texas" in the title refers to a bar named Texas at the location near the European North Sea.
In one of the first scenes, Pim, Gino and Sabrina make a puzzle with a motorcycle on it. Later on in the movie, when Pim visits Gino's room, that same puzzle is hanging above Gino's bed. 2 pieces are missing. Pim took 1 and put it in his memory-box, but where the second piece went is unclear. It could be possible Gino took it, or Sabrina, since she was in love with Pim.
The French title to this movie is "Sur le chemin des dunes" which translates to "On the way to the dunes" in English.
