Operation Vetkoek

Grace prepares for Lawrence's funeral, and decides it's time to move on. Martine's cousin, Candice 'Candy' arrives, and causes a stir, proving to be a hit with one man. Tannie Maria is asked for help by a young woman, who wants to please her father.

First of all, let's deal with the vetkoek, I had a uni house mate from Cape Town, who used to make them on a regular basis, talk about carbs, like a fried doughnut come bread roll.

There's something definitely wholesome and filling about vetkoek, and that's exactly how I feel about this show, it's exactly that, wholesome and comforting. Yet another lovely, fun, light hearted mystery, impossible not to lose yourself in it.

Every character is so rich, Hattie, Regardt and of course the wonderful Candy, she's quite something. It was good to see the hapless Chef from the previous episode pop up here.

I'm loving the banter between Jessie and the serious Detective, she loves taking him down a peg or two.

Loved Tannie's boots, they were so cool.
