The Legend of the Titanic (1999)

Trivia

The Legend of the Titanic

Edit
The first animated Titanic movie.
This was probably inspired by James Cameron's blockbuster movie Titanic, which was released in 1997. There are many similiarities between the two, such as the main plotline of a rich first class woman who breaks up with her rich fiancee whom she doesn't love in order to be with a man traveling in third class on the ship and both feature theme songs which play during the end credits and their instrumental versions which play during key moments in the films. The theme songs are "My Heart Will Go On" in Cameron's film and "Ocean Dreams" in this film.
There is a common misconception about this film being called "The Other Animated Titanic Movie", due to another animated movie about the Titanic disaster, titled Titanic: The Legend Goes On (2000). Many internet reviewers, including the Nostalgia Critic, have made this mistake. To clear thing up, this movie came out a year before The Legend Goes On, making the latter a mockbuster, to a mockbuster.
