‘Untamed Royals’ Netflix Review: A Sickening But Fascinating Look At Gen Z Criminals & The Class Divide
Image
At the cost of sounding like a geriatric fool who is severely out of touch with “the times,” I’ve grown up watching teen dramas set in high schools and colleges, like Hip Hip Hurray, Just Mohabbat, and D3: Dil Dosti Dance. Then, life happened, and I had to deal with it instead of watching it all through the prism of these fluffy TV shows. By the time I returned to this particular subgenre, the landscape had completely changed and high school and college-going students were shedding blood and other bodily fluids. 13 Reasons Why and Euphoria were straight-up jarring. Elite and Hierarchy highlighted aspects of the lives of teenagers that I was completely ignorant about. And India caught up with this trend via Class, School of Lies, and Farrey. But, in my opinion, most of these seemed like products of somebody’s weird fetish about teenagers with nothing substantial to say.

He made his film debut with a one-minute role in the 1994 Naseeruddin Shah-Om Puri-starrer ‘Drohkaal’, followed by a minor role as a dacoit in Shekhar Kapur’s much-acclaimed ‘Bandit Queen’. Fame came Bajpayee’s way when he played the gangster Bhiku Mhatre in Ram Gopal Varma’s 1998 crime drama ‘Satya’.

The 54-year-old actor is well known for his roles in movies such as ‘Kaun?...

Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge Movie Review
Yash Raj Films are synonymous with love stories, and with their second release from newly launched youth division Y-Films, the production house stick to what they know best: a story about love.

A romantic comedy set against the backdrop of social networking, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge tells the tale of two losers, Vishal (Saqib Saleem) and Preity (Saba Azad) who fake their online identities in an attempt to get the attention of drop dead gorgeous Malvika (Tara D’Souza) and rockstar Rahul (Nishant Dahiya). What they do not realize, is that the person they hate most in the real world, just happens to be the same person they have fallen in love with online.

So, the premise for the season’s most screwed up love story, is: Rahul loves Malvika. And Malvika loves Rahul. But Rahul is not Rahul. Rahul is Vishal. And Vishal loves Malvika too. But Malvika is not Malvika either.

Check Out the Unique Making of “Dheaon Dheaon” – Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge
Y-Films’ Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge is taking its being ‘India’s first Facebook love story’ very seriously and has now tapped into a host of internet biggies to promote its film in an innovative way. Kickstarting the action is one of India’s coolest online influencers, VJ & DJ, Nikhil Chinapa – to host a very twisted version of a ‘Making of’. Versus the regular questions about characters, etc. Chinapa quizzes the gang on their weirdest online habits, social media cock-ups and more.

First off the block is a hilarious take on the song ‘Dheaon Dheaon’ – a mad koothu-hip-hop fusion track from the film. ‘Dheaon Dheaon’ has been scored by Raghu Dixit, one of the country’s most talented indie musicians, and sung by Vishal Dadlani and Aditi Singh Sharma, featuring rap by Machas with Attitude.

So, if you’re liking the lip lockings and grooving to the hip-hoppings, check out how this track was made.

Desi Rockstar Raghu Dixit makes explosive Bollywood debut with ‘Dheaon Dheaon’
India’s first Facebook love story, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge suddenly goes berserk with a thumping party track called ‘DheaonDheaon’. ‘DheaonDheaon’ is a tribute to the South Indian street music form of Dappan Koothu. Giving it a unique spin is the fusion with Hip-Hop and Rap. The track has some really mad lyrics penned by Anvita Dutt – so much so that a Karaoke singalong version has been released to punch that harder. Scored by Raghu Dixit, one of the country’s most talented indie musicians, Dheaon Dheaon has been sung by Vishal Dadlani and Aditi Singh Sharma featuring rap by Machas with Attitude.

This is the second track from the film’s album which is scheduled to release shortly and is apparently already a rage across several campuses due to an innovating sampling exercise done at key colleges. The music video features the entire cast in an outrageous party rocking away the night.
