Love is in the air on the next episode of Fire Country as things heat up for Three Rock’s Captain Eve.
A fire is brewing, but for now, it’s contained to two lovebirds.
In a new exclusive clip from Fire Country, audiences get a peek at Eve and an old flame as they make their way around a magical place where adults need not be constrained by the rules of the modern world.

Okay, that was a bit much, even for me.
Fire Country is taking viewers to the renaissance festival and, I’m not going to lie – I’m pretty excited. There’s also a splash of jealousy there as well.
If nothing else, it had to be fun for the actors to play dress up, and Jules Latimer’s Eve is enjoying herself so much that she even pulls off one of those jumps...

Exclusive: Walker star/executive producer Jared Padalecki has re-teamed with the CW series’ executive producer/showrunner Anna Fricke for a new drama project, which has been set up at CBS for development.
Like Walker, the untitled one-hour takes place in Padalecki’s home state of Texas, but instead of a ranger, he will now play a doctor. Unlike most medical dramas, which take place at big, urban hospitals, the Fricke/Padalecki project spotlights rural medicine, which is rarely seen on TV. It centers on a headstrong, devoted country doctor (Padalecki) who practices his unique style of improvisational medicine alongside his new protégé, a young doctor running from her past, as they operate a mobile clinic and heal the bodies and souls of their underserved community in the medical desert of rural Texas.
Fricke and Laura Terry executive produce through Fricke’s Pursued by a Bear alongside Jared Padalecki, Genevieve Padalecki and Dan Spilo.

Erin Moriarty got her start in the industry when she was just 11 years old, and her best movies and TV shows run her entire timeline from her work as a teenager up to now. Because Moriarity was born and raised in New York, she is trained in theater as well as on-screen, but her professional work has all been for TV and film. Though one of her earliest roles was in the soap opera One Life To Live, the soap does not make it into her best work.
Soap operas, however, are notorious for being like bootcamp for actors just starting out in the industry since work on a soap is incredibly fast-paced and takes place nearly every day. Moriarty likely got a television crash course that has served her well. Most of her roles have been of a supporting nature in her career so far, but she has demonstrated...

If you’re looking for another western to watch these days, “American Primeval” is here to try and fill that gap.
Now streaming on Netflix, the six-episode miniseries takes place in 1857, and is “a fictionalized dramatization and examination of the violent collision of culture, religion, and community as men and women fight and die for control of this world,” following them as they head west.
Starring Taylor Kitsch and Betty Gilpin, the series has quite a few familiar faces in it. Here’s who you need to know.
Netflix Isaac (Taylor Kitsch)
Taylor Kitsch leads “American Primeval” as Isaac, a man whose past trauma has led to a whole lot of long-term effects. You might know Kitsch for his role as Tim Riggins in “Friday Night Lights,” or from “The Terminal List” and “True Detective.”

Saura Lightfoot-Leon and Derek Hinkey are two foes who find an underlying respect for one another in American Primeval. The Netflix Western miniseries continues Lightfoot-Leon's rise to stardom on screen following her breakout turn in the acclaimed drama Hoard, in which she co-starred with fellow rising actor Joseph Quinn, having also appeared in the hit Apple TV+ war miniseries Masters of the Air and Showtime's spy thriller The Agency. The show also marks Hinkey's biggest role to date, with the actor having previously delivered supporting turns in Walker: Independence and Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1.
Lightfoot-Leon stars in American Primeval as Abish, the new wife to Mormon Jacob Pratt, who is venturing to territory in Utah to join their parish. There's just something about a procedural cop drama that just seems to work well on network television. From "NYPD Blue" to "The Rookie" and everything in between, there's a massive audience for such things. That's why The CW looked to reboot "Walker, Texas Ranger" several years back. The original show starred legendary actor and action hero Chuck Norris as the title character. For the reboot, the network turned to "Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki in what would simply be titled "Walker."
Unfortunately for viewers, "Walker" season 4, which finished its run in 2024, was the end of the line for the show. The spin-off "Walker: Independence" is also at the end of its run after just a single season. There will be no fifth season of adventures for Cordell Walker, with Padalecki left to figure out what he'd like to do with his career next.

The procedural drama Wild Cards on the CW was green-lit for a second season in May, but like so many CW shows before, it floated in the bubble about whether the network would be canceled. For fans of this intriguing Canadian-us show, it was a relief.
Season 2 of Wild Cards is currently in production and will premiere on Thursday, Feb. 6 in the US. Not only will we have more crime-fighting stories led by Max and her partner, Ellis, who is portrayed by Vanessa Morgan of Riverdale and Giacomo Gianniotti of Reign, respectively. A handful of guest stars will also join the roster.
It's big news, considering we didn't have much coverage between the renewal and the guest star update. The CW has a history of keeping mum on show spoilers, even when updates are considered spoilers. Wild Cards has followed the same pattern, so we'll take what we can get regarding its content.

Territory, Netflix's best Yellowstone replacement, debuts to a solid score on Rotten Tomatoes. Originally titled Desert King, by creators Ben Davies and Timothy Lee, Territory is a six-episode Western that puts the spotlight on Marianne Station. It's the world's largest cattle station, owned for generations by the Lawson family dynasty, and a target for rivals, gangsters, and Indigenous elders, as the Lawsons engage in a battle for succession. The Australian drama recently arrived on Netflix, with reviews starting to come in.
Reviews have started to trickle in for Territory on Rotten Tomatoes, with the drama currently sitting at 80%. It's worth noting that this is based only on five reviews, with four positive and one negative, so the score will fluctuate as more reviews come in. At the moment, it averages out to 5.30/10.

A second Fire Country spinoff appears to be more likely, as Jared Padalecki signs a major deal with CBS. After a 15-season run as Sam Winchester on the monster-hunting drama Supernatural, Padalecki had already lined up his next role on The CW with Walker. The reboot of the 1990s action series lasted four seasons, coming to an end earlier this year. But it looks like the veteran TV star has already lined up his next starring role, which will be previewed in Fire Country season 3.
Deadline reports that CBS Studios has extended its first-look deal with Padalecki. The deal, which means that Padalecki is involved with developing and producing a new series for CBS Studios, comes as the actor will guest star in three episodes of Fire Country season 3, with the potential for a spinoff built around his character.

A prequel series entitled Walker: Independence, on which Padalecki served as executive producer, was also given the ax.

Jared Padalecki has been cast in the upcoming third season of “Fire Country” at CBS, Variety has confirmed.
Padalecki will appear in three episodes in a recurring role. He will play Camden, who is described as “a SoCal firefighter and maverick with a surfer swagger who is a force to be reckoned with and immediately recognizes Bode’s (Max Thieriot) raw talent.”
The role keeps Padalecki in business with CBS Studios, which produces “Fire Country.” Padalecki recently starred in the studio’s series “Walker,” which aired for four seasons at The CW with Padalecki in the lead role and executive producing. Grab your magnifying glass, deerstalker hat, and pipe, fellow TV Fanatics, because a new Holmes-inspired show called Watson is coming to television screens everywhere as a midseason treat for the 2024-2025 broadcast schedule.

The upcoming series, Watson, won't take place in the same universe, but as it shares similar elements, it'll be an amazing new show for audiences who miss the 2012 series that ended after seven seasons in 2019.

Walker is one of the few shows on The CW from an earlier regime, back when the network catered to younger audiences.
Of course, the series skews older than The CW’s typical series, which probably explains why it survived when the network’s younger-skewing fare like Charmed, Dynasty, Legacies, and Nancy Drew all got the pink slip.
Walker, a reboot of the successful Walker, Texas Ranger, has managed to break through as a reboot because it has brought plenty of contemporary storylines to a format that worked well not so long ago.
As we delve into Walker Season 4, the series is at a tipping point because it will be judged more harshly than some other offerings, such as Wild Cards, which has performed admirably as a co-production.
Plenty of details have emerged about Walker Season 4, but we don’t want you to do all the digging for intel.

Crowley sacrifices himself in the season 12 finale of Supernatural to seal Lucifer in Hell. Mark A. Sheppard's departure from the show was not amicable, and there were no plans for his return. Since leaving Supernatural, Sheppard has gone on to star in other shows like Doom Patrol, MacGyver, and Walker: Independence.
While he was always a popular character, many viewers and actor Mark A. Sheppard weren't happy about the Crowley Supernatural ending and his exit from the show. Any long-running TV show ends up creating recurring characters that gain popularity with audiences. This is especially true for Supernatural, as the series' fanbase is notably loyal and devoted. Many characters who left the show returned purely because of their popularity with the viewership. There’s a joke thrown around The CW offices: “We have more fans than viewers,” the network’s president of entertainment Brad Schwartz told TheWrap in a recent interview.
It’s a good line, one that alludes to the network’s dedicated fan bases that routinely make small-audience shows like “Nancy Drew” and “Gotham Knights” trend on Twitter. But it’s also a joke that nods to why the network is in the middle of such a massive transition following its 2022 acquisition by Nexstar. For Schwartz, The CW’s future is dependent on both retaining the passionate audience that’s been loyal to the brand over the past 20 years, and diversifying so it can compete with its network peers.
This fall, the network is expanding well past what audiences may think is the typical CW brand. The 2023-2024 season features everything from more mature dramas and a Tuesday night comedy...

After the cancelation of The Winchesters, Supernatural creator Eric Kripke has a touching answer for those who miss the original series. The show ran for 15 years, and the adventures of Sam and Dean Winchester were a leading part of The WB and The CW's slates. After the series came to an end in 2020, it was followed by the series The Winchesters, which initially appeared to be a prequel, though would be revealed in what's now the series finale to actually be set in another universe entirely.
As part of the ongoing WGA writers strike, Kripke and many others gathered outside Amazon Studios to picket further work on The Boys season 4 until the dispute was settled, as seen on his Twitter. The creator went on to reflect on the many people in attendance who expressed to him how Supernatural "got them through tough times" in their lives, and how that in turn has impacted him.

As TV academy voters fill out their 2023 Emmy Awards nominations ballots, they will have to consider 163 shows for Best Drama Series. This is only down by eight compared to last year. After six years of not having to limit their choices in any categories, members can now not let their selections exceed the number of eventual nominations for a given award, which will be eight in this case.
2020 and 2022 champ “Succession” is in the hunt for its third win in this category and will potentially only have to fend off two of its seven rivals from last year. “Better Call Saul” and “Yellowjackets” returned in time to meet the eligibility window of June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023, while “Euphoria,” “Severance,” “Squid Game,” and “Stranger Things” did not. All American: Homecoming season 3 has been confirmed by The CW as the network faces an uncertain future. A spinoff of All American, the sports drama focuses on college student Simone Hicks (Geffri Maya) and her attempt at becoming a pro tennis player. The show also follows college freshman Damon Sims (Peyton Alex Smith) as he pursues a career in baseball. The show's parent series All American was renewed for season 6 by The CW in January 2023, but the fate of All American: Homecoming had been unclear.
Now, TVLine reports that All American: Homecoming season 3 will move forward at The CW. Season 3 will have 13 episodes, the same amount as season 1. The decision comes amid major changes at The CW as the channel begins cutting back on the number of in-house scripted series they produce.

Gotham Knights season 2 is not happening, and Gotham Knights' cancellation is not surprising given that the show was doomed from the beginning. After spending a few weeks on the bubble, Gotham Knights has been officially canceled by The CW. Gotham Knights season 1 still has two episodes left as of the writing of this article, but the show centered on Gotham’s young heroes will not return for a second season.
Despite airing on The CW, Gotham Knights was not part of the Arrowverse. In fact, Gotham Knights seemed to be The CW’s first major attempt at moving on entirely from the Arrowverse following the reveal that Superman & Lois was never set on Earth-Prime. Gotham Knights’ premise was that Batman had been killed, and now his son and a few other legacy characters would have to solve Bruce Wayne’s murder. While Gotham Knights season 1's finale has yet to air,...

In a surprising move, CW has opted to bring back fan favourite series Superman & Lois for a slightly abbreviated fourth season. The network has been cancelling shows left and right, with them also pulling the plug on the Batman-universe-themed series Gotham Knights after only one season. This makes Superman & Lois the last remaining DC series on the network, with The Flash having recently aired its series finale.
According to Deadline, the renewal comes with a few caveats. For one, the budget has been slashed, meaning only ten episodes will be produced as opposed to the standard thirteen. The supporting cast is also expected to be reduced, perhaps moving some regulars down to recurring status or eliminating roles completely.
The CW has been open about the fact that they’re moving away from originals, with the fall schedule set to be dominated by unscripted series and Canadian acquisitions. The network...

Gotham Knights will not return for season 2 on The CW. The newest DC show has been left in a state of limbo for a few weeks now as the network continues adjusting its programming approach. Gotham Knights premiered earlier this year and took a rather unique approach to its DC world in the sense that, unlike most CW DC shows, it doesn't hold any connections to the long-running Arrowverse.
While fellow DC series Superman & Lois will continue on with season 4, Deadline now reports that Gotham Knights has been cancelled at The CW following its one-season run. The show was a decent performer for the network, but with The CW significantly cutting down on its scripted content, it was unable to justify another season.

The CW’s answered a few lingering questions regarding their 2023-2024 primetime lineup, officially confirming Superman & Lois has been renewed for season four and All American: Homecoming earned a third season order. Both dramas could have gone either way as The CW trims down its roster following its acquisition by Nexstar.
While Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming fans have reason to celebrate, the news isn’t so bright for Gotham Knights viewers. Gotham Knights did not escape the network’s chopping block and will not return for season two.
“We are thrilled to bring All American: Homecoming and Superman & Lois back to The CW,” stated Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network. “These series are two of our strongest performers across our linear and digital platforms with some of the most passionate fanbases in all of television.
