Let's Talk About the War

I'm a grunt and I love what vet tv has done and this series specifically is the most honest and truthful content I have ever seen. Truth needs to be told, the experiences need to be shared.

Everything they put out is great. Gruntlife took me right back and the humor 🤣

Although I'm a Canadian NCM, I was heavily involved with the COIN efforts around Khandahar in 2009. This series pretty much sums up the frustration of front line troops trying to get the job done, in an unvarnished straight up manner. I was blown away by how similar my experience was to that described in this documentary series even though I served with another country. Good on you guys for bringing light onto the underlying reasons for why the war lasted so long, with so little to show for it after 20 years and the disgraceful way in which the Afghan war ended. I, like many of my brethren was horrified by the scenes coming out of Kabul and prompted much self reflection on if our efforts there were worth the sacrifice. Although the series is short, it doesn't beat around the bush. I wasn't made by some artsy documentary team searching for deeper meaning in things. It's made by those, I feel, that represent the bulk of the troops that were on the ground and being frustrated at the reality they were living. I want to see more of it. Keep up the good work!

This show is one of the best documentaries to date. It contains true stories from our soldiers and veterans, and it's not watered down like it would be if aired on the history channel or military channel. Anyone who wants to know what really happened over there needs to watch this Docu-Series, this is history in the raw and I recommend this show to everyone.

These accounts are some of the rawest experiences from combat. I appreciate the truth behind everything, no sugar coating, just to the raw details about what happened over there from the guys on the ground.

This series is an unfiltered collection of our, that is the people that fought in the Great War on Terror, shared experiences and frustrations.

I think this project does a major part in helping us heal and move forward together as a society, thus hopefully removing the resentment that many veterans feel towards politicians and civilians. I would highly recommend watching it
