Alex wants to lose his virginity, but it seems his promise to his mother is a curse; attempts bring about disaster. His friends Nim and See-Ew know about the promise and believe he has a chance of having sex for the first time at Jedi's house party as he'll turn eighteen after midnight.

After coming to the realisation that he's travelled forward ten years in time, Alex uncovers polaroids in his high school yearbook. He manages to get See-ew-who's no longer his friend-to talk to him and learns that the photos are of events that haven't yet taken place. Alex tries to talk to his other former friends with considerably less success.

Alex and Ew went to Nim again to explain the current situation. Nim let Alex accept punishment and finally forgave Alex. Alex, Ew and Nim analyzed the Polaroid photos and tried to find clues. Jean decided to go to the doctor for a check on her dysmenorrhea, but the doctor she met was Alex.

After calling Alex out for pushing him away, Army accepts a meetup with a guy who ends up being only seventeen. Although Army refuses to go any further with him after discovering his age, he concedes to letting him stay the night. When he drops him off at school the next day, he's reunited with Joe. Nim's girlfriend asks her to carry their child, lending credence to Alex's theory about his polaroids.

Alex fills Army in on what's happened to him and Army advises him to let go of the past and enjoy the present. Molly gets the film role she hoped for, but she thinks the discrimination she endures from the cinematographer isn't worth it.

Alex finally learns the truth about the events the night of and following Jedi's party, about the source of Jean's trauma. Back in high school, Army throws Joe under the bus when they're caught hooking up in a shower stall.

Nim asks Alex to be her sperm donor. However, Alex has been unable to ejaculate since time-travelling, so he persuades Army to step up. Meanwhile, Army and Joe reach an impasse in their sexual relationship. Liu is horrified when Ew is shown on the news caught up with a sex worker.

Nim's girlfriend Bew got the US citizenship right after Nim underwent artificial insemination. Bew abandoned Nim and went to the United States even Nim might be pregnant. Since Kat was raped by the captain, she had been suspicious all day long, thinking that the captain would hurt her again. Alex was worried about Kat, so he let Kat stay at his place.

Kat confessed her love to Alex, but Alex rejected as he thought she was just insecure, not lacking a boyfriend. Army was very excited about Nim's pregnancy. He went to Joe and told him the news. The intimate behavior between the two was seen by Joe's boss.

Alex saw Liu being sexually harassed by her boss, so he asked Ew to rescue Liu. Eventually, Liu made up with Ew. Mollie wanted to get back together with Nim, but Nim confessed that she was not ready yet, and the two ended up fighting. Ice and Alex accidentally found a photo of their mother and high school teacher Saran, which was suspicious.

Alex's father told him that Mr. Saran was his biological father, and the Polaroid camera was a present from Saran. Nim and Mollie reunited at Jedi's wedding. The two decided to face the unknown future together. Jean finally told Alex what had happened to her that night at the party. Alex realized that he had made a big mistake.

Alex finally returned to his original life. He encouraged his younger brother to bravely chase his dreams, encouraged See-ew to confess his love to Liu, reminded Nim and Mollie to always love each other, encouraged Army to be who he wanted to be and reminded Jedi and Rose to get the HPV vaccine. Alex took photos with the Polaroid when everything was done.
